  • Well i added the mushrooms to it- and one happy, contented household here..pinging buttons have ensued as it is so filling. We have enough for tomorrow's dinner as well. :)

BOB lovely to see you back. Glad you enjoyed the meal I havent done that one for a while but now you have put the idea in my head.....
We find that all the meals are very filling so much so that the pasta ones are now reduced to 75g per person which is enough for us at chez shanks xx

I have dibbed in and out of the thread then got a bit lost. I have tried quite a few of the recipes. I must admit though, that this is the most i have ever got out of one chicken and i really thought i could stretch a chicken..

Ist- Chicken sandwiches, bulked out with salad.(x4 people)

2nd, Chicken stir fry, again lots of bulk, peppers, onions, garlic mushrooms and peas..very little chicken and a lot of rice.(x 4 people)

Two chicken pies, tonight's has enough left over to make tomorrows dinner as there is veg and left over potatoes, which i thought they could reheat up and add gravy( x3 people)

I will make stock with the carcus..:D

Lesley what a wonderful idea, It looks great! Well done you:T

I would definitely print and pass a copy on to my mum and dad- they like the idea of cfr (and the recipes I have cooked for them) but are unlikely to log on and use the website for themselves.

thanks katkins, amd shanks too for your comments.

think I might carry on and do the other planners, I enjoy that kind of thing :)

am having difficulties with the single sheet printing. Publisher itself will do it with no problems at all, but can I get it to print that way to a pdf file - NO! will carry on seeing if I can solve it

had a scrummy meal for OH's birthday last night using M&S vouchers

plenty left for another meal too, I am liking this game of buying food I otherwise wouldn't get with vouchers, feels very extravagant, but actually costs no cash at all

Lesley It looks fab! Great idea as I know my nan will enjoy having a good read through and trying some of the recipes but she is very un-technical and doesn't like using online recipes in general.

Forgive me if I've missed it but is the address of the website somewhere in the booklet? Because then someone who has been given a copy of the booklet is able to tell other people about the website.

yes, it's one of the things I added. In Planner One, it is on page 4, and in the Celebration Planner, it is on page 2

added because, as you say, we want people to be able to find it

maybe it needs to be more prominent

Ah, I've found it - I hadn't thought of it being amongst the text. But I suspect lots of people using it won't read all of that (I would if I was using it but I also read instruction booklets before using things and apparently most people don't) so it's probably be worth having it somewhere more prominent in addition to being within the text. Possibly front or back cover so that it is easy to find when someone wants to find the url to pass it on?

I hope I don't sound really critical as I think you've done an absolutely wonderful job - I'm just trying to think of how to maximise the chances of people spreading the word.
