Ah, I've found it - I hadn't thought of it being amongst the text. But I suspect lots of people using it won't read all of that (I would if I was using it but I also read instruction booklets before using things and apparently most people don't) so it's probably be worth having it somewhere more prominent in addition to being within the text. Possibly front or back cover so that it is easy to find when someone wants to find the url to pass it on?
I hope I don't sound really critical as I think you've done an absolutely wonderful job - I'm just trying to think of how to maximise the chances of people spreading the word.
yes, as you hadn't seen it, I was wondering whether it would be better to have it on one of the covers
please don't stop, it's useful to have other people look at it with fresh eyes
my reason for doing it is to help more people get the benefit of the project, so the easier that is, the better0 -

wow, you really do have a lot to catch up, there are so many yummy things on the website, it's hard to know what to recommend first - we all have our favourites!

Elfin.
my brother is coeliac (which means he has to avoid all gluten, which is in wheat, barley, oats and rye) so I know how difficult it can be
the sweet bean curry I did the other day is vegan and gluten free, not deliberate, just the way it is
I had CFR breakfast pancakes for breakfast this morning, with a banana sliced over and a drizzle of maple syrup, was very yum
you couldn't have the normal flour version Elfin, but I have successfully made pancakes for my brother using gluten free flour. If you can get stuff on prescription, which he can as a coeliac, the best flour by a long shot is the Juvela. Not worth buying yourself as you can only get it from a chemist and it costs £10-£15 for 500g
I have also made savoury tarts using chickpea flour. You have to squash the dough into the tart tin, as it is very difficult to roll - or rather you can roll it, but you can't pick it up in one piece. It obviously tastes a bit different to wheat flour, but works well as a pastry case
good luck, let us know how it goes0 -

Thank you Lesley, that's really helpful. I can't get flour on prescription, so I'll see if I can get some chickpea flour - I've tried the rice/potato sort with limited success! Today I am planning to try the butternut squash risotto as I have a whoopsied squash in the fridge. Will report back later!0 -
Hi everyone.
Not posted for a long time, hope all is well with the project. Haven't had time to read the emails as they have come through.
Anyway today I was making the savoury bites from way back. On your blog, but not your site I think. Anyway I was making the original vegan version (on my blog if anyone wants the various versions I tested for weezl). I was wondering if anyone has made them wheat free, either using all instant oats/ground oats or with wheat free flour. I want to make some for a wheat free friend. I am willing to try both of these, but thought i'd ask first incase anyone has already done it. Of course apologies if this has already come up in conversation and i've missed it!

I'd love to try them if nobody else has, being a wheat-free person myself. Sorry to be ignorant, but where do I find your blog for the recipe?
By the way, the butternut squash recipe was great last week, and tonight I am making bean chilli, but adapting by adding soya mince too.

Click on that, and it takes you to their blog0 -
Hope everyone is ok. Been busy organising a surprise party for my mum so doing lots of cooking today. Made some mini and large quiches, potato salad, salsa and chicken wings and am doing guacamole tomorrow. Have got cakes as well and sis is doing sarnies, wraps, pasta salad and some pancakes. There is enough food to feed the 5000 so hopefully a good day xx0

Hope the party went well shanks.
My freezers are still choc a bloc. Never seems to go down. I blame the whoopsies– last week I got 500g haddock, 400g cod, 500g pork mince, 1.5kg beef mince, 500g lamb mince & 400g diced pork for a grand total of £11.20! I make that an average of £2.95 a kilo, so under 30p a portion.
Have been better this week. We did a main shop on Sunday based on the meal plans DD & me wrote on Saturday (didn’t need any meat, other than pepperoni, given the above) & haven’t bought any groceries since.
The pepperoni was for DD’s cookery lesson. They were making pizza; didn’t make the bases which is a shame, but did make the tomato sauce from scratch. Mr T had pepperoni at £1.60 for 120g! But managed to get 200g in L!dl for 99p. And it was lovely to get home from work to have my dinner already made.
Today DD was out with a friend this afternoon & for dinner, so I stripped the remaining meat from a roast chicken we had earlier in the week, made pie & boiled up the carcass for stock, made tomato pasta sauce for later in the week & made some quiche.
I still have some leave to use up (our holiday year runs from 1 June). So Weezl if you need some more jobs doing I am off work from 22 April to 9 May.0 -
