Can someone check that Poohbear has actually been added to the latest conversations ? (I'm at work so can't check myself) I remember we had a similar problem before as some people are not actually in Weezl's address book so they can get left out.

I would if I knew her contact details! Going to back to work in a minute, though, so someone else will likely beat me to it.

I have finished my cupboard and freezer challenge. We got to the stage where the cupboards and freezer were almost bare. I had to buy something to eat so we went shopping and spent £25 which will last us a fair while again. A very good friend rang me whilst standing next to the woman who was marking down meat prices in Mr T. She brought me enough to give us meat twice a week for the next month.

Is there anything that needs to be done, any testing, proof reading?

After months of business planning and a few set backs I am just waiting to here if we have our business loan so it is a quiet time here. Thumb twiddling etc. So if there is anything I can do please shout. :D
PB I'm ever so sorry, when I posted earlier, your kind offer wasn't showing on the thread for some reason, I had a delay on MSE posts. But now I have seen it YES PLEASE! I would love that, and am just composing a message for you.

Also fingers crossed the loan comes through ok :D

ah good, worth a try then

if I can freeze them, I would use some fresh for a stir fry, then freeze the rest to use in more stir fries, spring rolls etc

I have never froze them on their own... but I would flat freeze them, then bag, if I did. :)

When I used to make up the little stirfry veg bags, I used to put the shortest cooking veg - stuff like bean sprouts and mushrooms- at the bottom of the bag, mangetout, and baby corn in the middle, and the stuff that took the longest to cook - like onions, peppers and broccolli at the top:)
I deffo need to make some of these up again... I am not sure why I stopped doing them :o

    Evening all :)
I got lots of reduced fruit n veg today in tesco which made me a happy shopper :)

I'm just waiting to hear from my sis if she n H2be would like a lemon cheesecake to cushion the blow when I roll up with my 2 lively boys for a visit to their usually quiet child free house.
Only prob is I have no ginger nuts, do you think german spiced biccies and german digestivey things would be an ok sub?

Thanks Weezl, just about to chuck it together hope it turns out well because BIL2be isn't quite sold on the idea of lemon yet he likes his cheesecake NY vanilla only :p

I've just spotted that the calories on said lemon cheese cake are showing as 99999 I think that's a bit wrong ;)http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/recipes-snacks.html

Also I roasted some whoopsied parsnips yesterday and have frozen them for soup when I'm back from my Sis's can I make the soup cold or would you recommend warming them through before?

    Thanks lovely :)

eeek at those calories! Database issues again, grrr! Can you remember what the right cals are I've misplaced your email :o

I'm wondering if the parsnips will whizz smooth enough if not warmed sami.... How strong is your blender?

I don't send many emails it was only the 5th email down in my sent file :)
    582.5 cals

That was my thinking with the parsnips, my blender is only a cheapy one. The first time I made the soup it was lumpy like runny porridge (tasted good) think I'd best give them a spell in the oven before whizzing then.
