Hi sorry for the late posting. Had hospital appointment today so was later getting up than usual. Ex was supposed to come round and start of the meal but needless to say it was left to me so everything was a bit rushed. The tortillas needed a good bit more liquid than stated but that could have been exs measuring and then was a bit difficult to roll but think it will be better next time when i have done all the measuring etc. The end result was delicious and filling and although before we ate ex looked dubious at the fact there was nothing with the tortillas at the end proclaimed he was stuffed and couldnt have managed anything. Our mixture wasnt as wet as Allegras but was a lovely meal that we would both be more than happy to have again.
Looking forward to the sausage salad as we both enjoy it without that addition so will be interesting to see how this turns out.0 -
Good morning!
Fivenations recommended it with fresh garlic, I have since used this, but am wondering if i have done something wrong in the balance of spices? Avocet's family eat it also I remember...
Any tips welcomed!
Weezl x
Morning
I always add some salt to the oil and garlic while it's cooking as well as when cooking the pasta. Also, I was told not to add the garlic until the oil had heated up. Extra Virgin olive oil would make a difference too. Lidl's and Aldi's ones are good quality for the price.NSD 0/150 -

Orange cake in the oven, its taking ages to cook though :S its been in for 30mins so far, just going to check it again but it was very wobbly last time.
I'm just wondering if jam would work in a cake like the marmalade? I fancy making strawberry cakes as today is a big baking day. I'm meeting a very good friend tomorrow and I want to shower her in scrummy cake0 -

Mines a fan too Weezl. It now looks fabulous though *phew*
I ended up baking for 30mins at 170 fan then 15mins 160 - I was worried it would burn hence turning it down a bit. Maybe using medium FR eggs or the size of my tin (9") didn't help - cakes are a law unto themselves any way, if you ask me.
off to make lots of cupcakes; classic vanilla, strawberry, lemonlime then a weetabix loaf.
No idea what's for tea either :think:0 -

My skype isn't very well today, lots of chunks missing and not receiving stuff now. No worries will catch it next time, just got 4 oranges, past their best
. There's always lots of fruit to use up here. Leo is super fussy about fruit and wont eat it if it's not perfect
