Why does the forum / thread subscription e-mail system keep playing up?

- sometimes all emails are sent overnight, sometimes just a few. For the last two weeks there's been nothing.

And occasionally the same email can be duplicated - one night I received an email for one of the forums I subscribe to 4 times.

I dont think that a thread on that subject would be well received.

I accept you disagree, but can't see what harm it could do, whereas, I can see, and have seen, that others think that posting in two different capacities leads to blurred demarcation lines, and like it or not, there does seem to be a blind spot where abuse are concerned when a BG is involved. In my opinion they are sometimes given more lattitude than others. I hope I am allowed to express this opinion without expecting a yellow card to arrive?

I don't think it's a case of inappropriate behaviour needing to be reported to abuse, but one of clarity and transparency about which hat a BG may be wearing when they post.

Why, in the Special Occasions section of MSE are we not allowed to put links to our own blog pages? We want to share our crafty homemade presents and ideas with other members, yet the post gets deleted (without warning) if we do so.

Why is there no questionaire page or form before a newbie posts to say "are you asking a question or posting an offer" the sheer volume of "do you have a discount/do you know what/where/when..etc" on the grab-it boards is beyond a joke! A questionaire could help direct questions to the correct board and not the grab-it board!

We're going to compile them (obviously not all of them) then work on a "why section" in teh forum rules to be added in the new year.
