    hi:)
new to RnRing and just wondered if there was anyone out there from lincoln, or anyone who knows of anything in local stores?
    thanks,

Hi, the chances are if someones spotted a misprice in that store they've probably had a refund and usually the shelf ticket will have been removed. Your best bet is to take a small list with you when you go shopping and have a check in the store. If they have price checkers then you can check the price before going through the till. I'd start with something small and take it from there.
    Good luck.

Decided to try for some more free beer today on my way back South, but all the SEL's were correct in the 2 I called in to. ......they must finally be getting their act together.

Just about to leave the first store when I spotted an incorrect SEL on the Half Lamb Shoulder, ...bought 6 pieces and put a load of veg in with them.

    White sel £2.69kg....pack price £3.69kg

Got to CS, where charming girl said "the procedure has changed...I have to take the label and the item out to the manager"

I went with her to get the SEL and then went back to the CS counter.

After about 10 minutes the girl and the manager and 2 old trout came back.

The manager talked about the item to the CS girl, who was processing my refund.

When I got my refund, one of the old trout's said....."I bet youve got lots of mint sauce in your house".....and then said..."Were you the chap who got the legs of lamb earlier in the week". I told her "if the "legs" were still mispriced , I would prefer them to the shoulder". She just walked away. (cant take credit for the "legs" of lamb tho)

After loading the car, I found an unopened spice jar in one of the trollies. It would be too much Of a coincidence that it was a jar of "mint"....it wasnt, it was Rosemary...which also goes with lamb as well I believe.

Second store nothing, but wombled over 100 points from trolly bay.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I thought I'd share a chastening experience I had yesterday - picked up some Finest Beef Olives (4 packs) as they were advertised at £8.99/kg - they ended up going through at £9.99/kg - oh, I've been overcharged. So off to Customer Services.
The CS girl went off to check, then came back with SEL and another CS guy - they didn't say a word apart from asking for my credit card. 'There you go Sir....£4 back on your card - we've given you the difference plus a bit more'!!!
    )

It was at this point I mentioned that it was a current offer, not an expired one and that in actual fact they appeared to be charging me more for meat that was nearer it's expiry date than they were charging for the other packs!
That I was new to the area and that my previous Tesco was very good at marking down packs in similar cases to reflect the new prices and that I was stunned that he expected me to pay anything at all..........

Actually the funniest thing was seeing the duty manager's face after he agreed to refund me the two packs, when I mentioned the overcharge on the turkey stir fry strips also. My comment 'How can you have two large SEL's with a price of £2.40 per pack on when the whole shelf is priced at £2.73, if CS hadn't made such a fuss about the steak I wouldn't have doubled checked this whilst I was waiting for you to show up' had the rest of the CS staff in stitches:j

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi i have just got back from The big tescos in leeds. This was my first R&R on some steak. There was a big yellow SEL with the price per Kg on at £10.28 instead of £12.87. So i had a luck and i found 2 packets still prices at £12.87. I paid for my shopping, left and walked back in. I told the CS and he said that it was not a over price and he would only offer my money back so after talking with him showing him the policy behind him he gets the duty manager. She comes and says i know what your doing your in here all the time doing this (Quite strange as that is the 2nd time i have actually been in that store) and i tell her this. So i show her where the packets where and she has a look for about 2 minutes and tells me she doesn’t see what i mean. I show her the price differences and she then says "well its not a over price" and i discus this with her and then she comes out and says "the expiry date of the meat is different to the other packets so it doesn’t count" so i ask her to ring CS head office and she tells me she will not do that. after about 5 minutes she finally gives me the phone number but refuses to ring it and then walks off. After talking the CS on the phone he aggress with me and talks to the manager. she them starts lying on the phone and says that it was down a complete different aisle to where the yellow SEL was. so the CS on the phone refuses to believe me any more. So i left very embarrassed and very unhappy at how i was spoke to.

I doubt i will try r&r'ing again after this

After reading this thread i was going to hunting at this store now i think you've totally put me off doesn't seem worth all the hassle. Also think you should complain to head office about staff lying and been dam right rude.

You were really unlucky with cs and manager, but don't give up, it should make you more determined to catch them out.

    It does!

Similar thing happened to me today, went back tonight and had a refund on the item, then went and bought 2 packs of Twirl bitesize BOGOF and used 2 50p coupons that I'd picked up in Sainsburys today also, so cost me 78p for £3.56 worth, wee bit smug at that BUT determined now to catch them:D

Late night shopping with the youngsters is the best bet, shant ever go to the old bints on CS EVER AGAIN;)

No I am still here, r&r is not my life though and have other stuff to do but I am always looking.

I am amused that you think I would be bothered to change my identity.

r&r'ing certainly isn't worth me applying for the Witness Protection Programme.

I do have a twin though, in real life, spooky.

I never said you'd changed your identity, just that you post very similar to monster deals. He even puts details in signature just like you.

    Maybe you have a stalker.

This isn't a 'misprice' but more likely a deliberate attempt to get rid of a problem.

In case anyone's interested, Tesco have their 'value' range two-slot toaster going for £2.82. It used to be over £5. The shelf price now says £4.44... but the price you'll pay at the checkout is £2.82.

I found this out after returning one of the same model which had gone phhttt.
The girl at customer services said hers had also exploded.

I reckon Mr T knows there's a problem with these and, instead of taking them off the shelves completely, is trying to make at least a few quid out of the remaining stock.
