  • Forgetting R&R for a moment, not too hard apparently, can you return an item and keep the points? Or do they automatically get sucked back out.
Cos all those times i've said, OH WHERE'S MY CASH GONE? i could've gone ahead with failed scans and returned them. Clocking up points.

Silly old bint of a woman - why does she care so much?!

Because it's her job perhaps ??[/QUOTE]

I know, but she really enjoyed getting them off the shelf as quick as possible and bossing these poor young guys around removing them as soon as possible.
Tesco are raking in millions and people like this are getting off on ripping off SEL's from shelves without displaying new ones?!
When I worked at ASDA 2 years ago, I got told just to turn any SEL's around if the price was different. If a customer queried the price and took me back the product, I was always told to remove the SEL there and then so they would not have any evidence!!

I'm sorry but this woman was a silly old trout! - she's probabily reading this - you know who you are.....

Luck of the draw. Some take them off, some don't. More often than not they are left on, I would say.

Yes a lot of them are pretty awful !, but I must say the CS lady who gave me an r&r on a trivial pursuit game was a delight !, as she said after explaining the r&r policy to me " I am sure Tesco can afford it" loved it !
The CS staff in all my local stores are excellent. I have never had a problem getting an R&R & never been asked for my details. I make a list of all the possibles, then write my shopping list below. Write down all the SELs, BOGOFs & multibuys as I go round, then check the receipt against the list when I get back to the car. Any discrepancies and I'm straight back in. Virtually every week there is some overcharge to claim an R&R on.
You watch, now I've said that I'll have to eat my words (not Finest sirloin steak)!!!

Is humour now outlawed on mse ? , too many rrr's and robin hood's mate also seem to dissapprove....

Edit....we menials would hate to offend you far more important posters ...

No one is more important here than any one else. Care to point out the post where I have belittled a n00b, regardless of how often I (or others) have answered the same question?

    I totally agree!

Dont be put off by the rude CS staff, go get some more R&Rs! It will make you feel better!

After my banning last week I was determined not to give up, came home with about £100 worth of beer plus a load of meat, a DS game and a couple of Gillete fusions

Made me feel a lot better!

Well done mate.....it takes that "extra" bit to get back into the swing of things after a lay off.......I know I was nervous again......

At the CS desk today, one of the girls asked the
other if she had seen the new memo regarding misprices.
    Anybody know what that's about
    I AM WHAT I AM ;)

They just ask for your name and address, i just gave a false name and address, she didnt even check it was the same name as on the card i used for the purchase.... and i got another R&R the following night from the same member of staff and again gave a totally different name and address.....

    1st R&R was for £50+ 2nd was for £30+

Youve been lucky there mind.....There could have been a chance there of Police involvement, as the name on the card and the name you gave were different.....

It is always advisable to give the correct name(same as on credit/debit card)....any address will do.

But its much better and safer to use cash, with no club card

    Look

Tesco are no better or no worse than any of the other Supermarkets, infact they are my supermarket of choice, they offer a very generous policy of refund and retain, the criticism layed at their door is unfair at times, yes I enjoy getting an r&r and quite frankly I don't see it as doing anything wrong.

I take issue with them for banning people for claiming an r&r for being overcharged, I also take issue with managers and CS Staff who behave like bullies, but lets be fair to Tesco and the majority of their staff.
