My come back would be, 'The date, has nothing to do with it, because you can't have it both ways, if Trading Standards finds out-of-date bacon (or whatever) on the shelf, you couldn't use the excuse, "well people know todays date so they would'nt but it". Tesco would get fined
regardless.

Yes you can so long as not store specific ie Asda Gloucester...& that Mr T sell the product. Use self scan & you do not need to buy the product.

When I read that I was wondering about the time of day they self scanned and the time when they actually went to pay at the till, was it very late at night, midnight-ish and perhaps the new prices were being charged at that point..... or perhaps they have actually discovered the time period when the price changes are turned on at the computer.

The other more paranoid explanation is someone saw them scan an item, went to the back office computer and noted the error and corrected it before they got to the till.

let myself down at Tesco last night.

got 4 packs of Smirnoff Ice expired sel of 2 for £7, discount didnt come off CS refused me R&R said R&R doesnt apply when the date on teh sel expired . What would you have done? 11pm btw.

I went into the Earls Court Tesco yesterday and could not find one misprice - very annoying!! Has anyone else found any in this store?

Did my first R and R today and got the most accusing jobsworth customer Services person I have ever come across.(or are they all like that???) Found organic chicken priced at 14.52 per kg whereas shelf stated 13.99 per kg. Scooped up last three packs of 14.52 as others there were correct, paid for that and my other shopping then went to cs.
CSA went off to look at SEL and brought it back and basically said you had the last three all the others are labelled correctly and called me naughty:( for picking them up!
She then offered to replace them with the correctly priced packs. I got stroppy at this point and accused her of treating me disrespectfully by calling me naughty and told her I was deeply upset by the way she was almost accusing me of putting them there myself!!!!
I said I felt humiliated at which point she gave me full r and r. She did really make me cross though. What happens if you complain to Tescos about rude staff like this????? Would love to humiliate her right back!!!!

Is this normal when you r and r? I don't think I'm tough enough to cope with these sort of insults if it is......when I got out of the store today I felt genuinely humiliated!!!
