complain to HO Jammygal, shouldnt be happening but is unfortunately commonplace in CS staff nationwide.0

Jammygal wrote:Did my first R and R today and got the most accusing jobsworth customer Services person I have ever come across.(or are they all like that???) Found organic chicken priced at 14.52 per kg whereas shelf stated 13.99 per kg. Scooped up last three packs of 14.52 as others there were correct, paid for that and my other shopping then went to cs.
CSA went off to look at SEL and brought it back and basically said you had the last three all the others are labelled correctly and called me naughty:( for picking them up!
She then offered to replace them with the correctly priced packs. I got stroppy at this point and accused her of treating me disrespectfully by calling me naughty and told her I was deeply upset by the way she was almost accusing me of putting them there myself!!!!
I said I felt humiliated at which point she gave me full r and r. She did really make me cross though. What happens if you complain to Tescos about rude staff like this????? Would love to humiliate her right back!!!!
Is this normal when you r and r? I don't think I'm tough enough to cope with these sort of insults if it is......when I got out of the store today I felt genuinely humiliated!!!
Don't worry, they are not all like this. Some of them do get stroppy with the £/kg R&Rs on meat though, so if you don't like confrontation then you may find it easier to go for the more straightforward ones, like multisaves not working and stickered items at less than scan price. I prefer these. Keep looking - you've got to get one up on her now!
Don't be disheartened, you'll probably find loads more soon and you can get your own back!
BTW was listening to the radio yesterday and they were talking about a new price comparison website which has just started up where you can import all your favourites from your regular online shop and compare how much your shop would cost in different supermarkets.

Very interesting! I always thought Sainsburys were expensive but I didn't realise quite how much more they charge than Mr T  . Tesco and Asda seem to be very similar, but with the CC points and deals available (not to mention the freebies!) my money's still with Tesco.

got 4 packs of Smirnoff Ice expired sel of 2 for £7, discount didnt come off CS refused me R&R said R&R doesnt apply when the date on teh sel expired . What would you have done? 11pm btw.
It is not your duty to check EACH of the dates on every one of the THOUSANDS of special offers in store to check if the offer has expired before you buy it.
The price "AT THE POINT OF SALE" is the price that they have to sell it to you at legally. It is their fault for not taking the label off not yours, therefore a FULL r&r is your right. Im sure TS would be very interested to find out about out-of-date SELS in your tesco branch, escpecially as one SEL can cause a fine of upto £2000- let the CS staff know that exact point and they will turn white and issue the r&r straight away.0 -
farhan, thanks very much. I wish I'd have read posts like that before I went out. I felt under duress to pi** off out of the store by the customer service staff (who had no name badge) so i'm going to complain to HO as I dont see why not (an email is free).
Cheers for the post, I might mention Trading Standards to HO in my email0 -

"you return any item for any reason, Clubcard points will be removed from your ..."
Found this on tesco.com terms&conditions... Not sure if it applies in store though, but imagine it does.0 -

I've complained about one of the CS women there and nothing came of it. This was back in August and their service hasn't improved.0
