New to this site and a bit nervous of going for the first kill.
They just ask for your name and address, i just gave a false name and address, she didnt even check it was the same name as on the card i used for the purchase.... and i got another R&R the following night from the same member of staff and again gave a totally different name and address.....
1st R&R was for £50+ 2nd was for £30+TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
LizEstelle wrote:In case anyone's interested, Tesco have their 'value' range two-slot toaster going for £2.82. It used to be over £5. The shelf price now says £4.44... but the price you'll pay at the checkout is £2.82.
I found this out after returning one of the same model which had gone phhttt.
The girl at customer services said hers had also exploded.
I reckon Mr T knows there's a problem with these and, instead of taking them off the shelves completely, is trying to make at least a few quid out of the remaining stock.Constantine wrote:I reckon thats a bizarre theory.
I also reckon it is a very bizarre theory.
Tesco have been selling these toasters for well over 18 months. They shift thousands of the things a week. Consider the fact they reatiled at about 4 or 5 quid means they cost peanuts to produce. That means that the quality isn't going to be as good ast a £30 toaster. The quality control is going to be much lower as well, say the £30 toaster has 3-5% go faulty within guarantee. The Tesco Value probably has 10-15%.
Doesn't mean there is a wider problem with them. "You get what you pay for"
There is a big range change coming on electrical within the next few weeks. I'm sure I saw them as Discontinued in my store, so they have probably been "Reduced to Clear" in order to make way for the new range. Just your store is displaying an old label.0 -
hi lottee
you're best off having a look at the misprice thread then seeing if they've got the same stuff in your local store....meat's usually the easiest thing to get if the SELs different to the price per kg on the pack0 -
Being new to this myself, I think luck comes into it, but it depends how on the ball the store is.
My wife and I tag team since we got our first on saturday, we have had turkey strips, becks, finest beefburgers, gillette razors, and the iron, so about £70 in all.
If you have the time just cruise, I get a small trolley and put a couple of bits in, then it looks better.
A word of warning, once you get the first one theres no going back!
I had to physically stop myself shaking when receiving £40 back in one go! but a couple of "free" beers when I got home sorted me out!0 -
I will keep my eyes peeled in the meat section from now on !!!
I am in the future you know...
...9 hours ahead to be exact !:D0 -

lottee wrote:How do you all do it ??? I never seem to be able to find anything at my local store !!! I always have a look at the 'latest' finds on here before I go shopping, but haven't had any luck so far. Do you all go around looking for mispriced items, or am I just unlucky ?!
Maybe your local is where Constantine works
I was really restrained tonight - I deliberately didn't put the outright R&R item in my trolley, as I didn't actually need it, and I wanted to keep as low a profile as possible - but then ALL the possible R&Rs I did pick up came to naught
Oh well, I'll pretend it's all part of my 'cunning plan' to confuse cs - I get R&Rs so regular, me walking out tonight WITHOUT heading in their direction must have stunned them
If they ever do pass comment that I'm ALWAYS getting R&Rs I will have to remind them - "No I was in on Wednesday 18th October, and I didn't get overcharged at all that night !";)0 -

Wonder if you could answer a question for me please?
Departments: CS behind desk, what would the chain of command be?
i.e, CS bod - God,, or CS bod - Store manager?
Do you actually want to know, or did you just want to take the opportunity to post a weak joke?Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
