You were really unlucky with cs and manager, but don't give up, it should make you more determined to catch them out.

    I totally agree!

Dont be put off by the rude CS staff, go get some more R&Rs! It will make you feel better!

After my banning last week I was determined not to give up, came home with about £100 worth of beer plus a load of meat, a DS game and a couple of Gillete fusions

Made me feel a lot better!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

i went to get an iron today but they had put price up to £14.98

But get this, near the door there was about 10 manager looking peeps all talking in a circle, i was trying to eavesdrop while pretending to look at haloween stuff, it was deffo about r+r and checking prices. this was in holbeach in lincs store:rotfl:

Most stores have these meetings. Nothing sinister in them I don't think.

Anybody would think all this cash is coming out of the CS persons pockets.
Screw them for what you can, thats what I say. Tesco just made one billion quid in 6 months. A few R&R's in't going to cause a ripple, if they got their staff in order there'd be no R&R's to bag anyway.
    Quotes in context only please.

Yes a lot of them are pretty awful !, but I must say the CS lady who gave me an r&r on a trivial pursuit game was a delight !, as she said after explaining the r&r policy to me " I am sure Tesco can afford it"

    loved it !

This is very intriguing and tempting but as some people have said, it worries me that I would get to the till and the right price would be charged so I would be stuck with it. I realise there is the possibility of taking it back for refund, but I work in a consumer advice environment so realise that all these R&R and return policies are not law and just their policy. I also like to avoid confrontation if possible!

I might take a couple of cheapish things that I could do with for Xmas etc and ease myself into it!

Just want to point out again that this whole thing is based on Tesco policy, and you can't force them (under anything legal) to give you money back etc.

I think the above post is a load of twaddle!!!!

Why worry if you are charged the correct price(unless its perishable goods) as Tesco clearly state, you can return the goods within 28 days for a full refund....It doesnt need to be law....its their policy....its written on a board in CS. Why have a policy...then break it....it leads to more trouble.

If you dont like any type of confrontation, then I wouldnt even think about RandRing....as you'll always get some smart a*se CS who thinks your RandR will reduce her pension.

And as for your last statement.....well...........We all know its Tescos policy....but its a policy that gets people through the doors.....its a policy that attempts to make shoppers feel safe.....its a policy which possibly leads old ladies to believe they arent getting overcharged......believe me they are.......WE ALL ARE.........

The policy is their law.......They have to abide by it(until they withdraw it). So as long as its all conducted in-house its as good as the law.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
"I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours, "I said that............................ Bob Dylan 1963

instead of spying on us, spy on Tesco's products with incorrect prices

Tesco made 1.1bn profit in 6 months

    Take the Fosters example

If they have sold 80000 cans to people who thought they were paying £6.00 instead of £6.30 then thats £3000 extra turnover which will pay a senior managers salary for at least a month or heat Sir Terry's swimming pool for a year!

Excuse if my maths is wrong but im a bit tipsy after drinking 8 bottles of free bud, cheers Sir Tel!

    I HAVE NO GUILT.
