  • This is very intriguing and tempting but as some people have said, it worries me that I would get to the till and the right price would be charged so I would be stuck with it. I realise there is the possibility of taking it back for refund, but I work in a consumer advice environment so realise that all these R&R and return policies are not law and just their policy. I also like to avoid confrontation if possible!

I might take a couple of cheapish things that I could do with for Xmas etc and ease myself into it!

Just want to point out again that this whole thing is based on Tesco policy, and you can't force them (under anything legal) to give you money back etc.

Hi all....I know this isn't a misprice, but.....Tesco Borehamwood has gone up in smoke...literally! It seems some workmen turned the fire alarms off and forgot to switch them back on........

Plenty of R&R's in local stores as staff are too busy wondering about this to watch what they're doing???

I think there is somewhere else this is better suited, but not sure.

There are quite a few offers at Tesco on the yellow sticker things which expire on 24th October. Going by some threads on here, should I go on 25th October and hope they haven't changed their stickers and hopefully get loads of free stuff?

I know this will leave me out of pocket if they have changed their stickers because I should have got all my BOGOFs before the stickers ran out.

You'll find all the info on Grab It forum - Tesco misprices and Tesco misprices disucussion

If you do buy all the stuff with yellow stickers and it scans at a usual higher price you should be able to claim your money back and keep the products just go to the customer services desk in the store.
It's best to regret things you have done rather than those you have not...

That's what I thought, just didn't know how quick they take the stickers down. Think I'll just go on 24th and get loads of stuff bogof instead of taking the risk.

Nationwide ban. LMAO. Like they are going to be able to enforce such a thing. Cash is king, and NO clubcards. Be thankful for the free stuff without the points. You know it makes sense....
So anyone, what is all this really about with the fear of being identified and 'banned'? (Sorry haven't had chance to catch up on these threads after being away several months.) I can't understand us 'running scared' and I am of a mind to be 'up-front' about this and confront my local store about why they might ever consider banning me for - i.e. exactly how many and how often can I r&r? Am I being foolishly bold?

The Customer Services phoneline definitely don't think that r&r would be justification for a ban, they just said it's all on individual cases. Maybe they won't ever admit that r&r is the basis for a ban - but I say we push this to it's logical conclusion, which is ultimately a national news story. Haven't any of the papers picked up on this yet? This is dynamite - if there's any tangible evidence of it being true.
    This too, shall pass.

Although I am hardly an old hand at this myself, I have always thought of you as one of the most experienced and practiced posters on here. Your till slip scan was a classic put down for those who doubted your honesty. Your input has been missed by me as well, and I sincerely hope you are feeling better - keep your chin up Dude (or Dudette - delete accordingly)

Sorry to the mods for posting off topic !

Gawd N' Bennet, I just had a CS from hell, I am fuming angry! She basically accused me of swapping labels on books!! OOOOO I tell you, I wanted to jump over the desk and lay one on her!!
But I didn't I just replied, "I definately did not" she also argued the toss on another one, but she had to give in.

I kept my cool, and graciously said, well I don't want the items now, if you are not going to honor your policy!

But thinking about it now, I think I may call Dundee. What do you think guys?

Deedee I think this might be the CS I met this morning who refused to budge. Gave up in the end as in a rush
