In future just ask to see her senior and then their senior and so on, eventually they will realise that they have to refund you.

Had this exact same thing yesterday i just said "if you cant refund me can you get your manager, maybe they can" she did and hey presto no problem instant refund.

They don't always take your details, although some have been caught out using their clubcard.
I've never been asked for my details, but then again I have'nt bagged a big one yet, just the odd £20 here and there.:beer:

This is what I always say......Its easier if you have never seen the CS before, otherwise they give you that look.:p

I even offered my Clubcard so I could 'return' the points back!! .. acting thick, so they didnt suspect i know what I was doing
