I'm surprised by this - never once had a CS bod refuse an R&R due to the SEL being out of date, even the known 'awkward' ones.I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -

Finishing on Tuesday night are:

Heineken - 6 x 330ml cans £6.49 Buy 2 for £10
Bulmers Cider 568ml bottle £1.68 Buy 3 for £4
Strongbow Sirrus 500ml bottle £1.68 Buy 3 for £4
Carling 4 x 500ml cans £3.39 Buy 2 for £6
Carlsberg Export 6 x 300ml bottles £7.49 BOGOF
Bells/Gordons/Smirnoff Red/Baileys 1l bottles £15.28 Buy 2 for £25
Mars Fun Size Chocolates 525g bag £1.98 Buy 2 for £3
Tesco Finest Belgian Chocs 400g box £3.99 (usually £7.99)
Nescafe Black Ground Coffee 100g jar £1.32 (usually £2.64)
But of course check before buying on Wednesday if you can!
A good indication of an offer change is the smaller SEL indicating a different price to the one above.
Went on a pre RnR mission tonight, a lot of the above listed items offers don't expire till 24/10/060 -

Thats not correct.
Finish on a Tuesday, start on a Wednesday.
And easier to claim, I would have thought.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

I had a £50 mobile with expired SEL, I called CS in Dundee and they backed the store, didn't fight it any further as it was my local store, a lot of hassle and actually I can see the sense behind the fact that the SEL does quote an offer expiry date.0 -

Just one or two lines would have been plenty.
This is more annoying than USING CAPS!!!
It makes no difference to the thread what length of text is quoted!
There are 20 posts per page every time.
It is sometimes useful if the orginal post is several pages back althouh I agree in this case it was a little pointless!Keep SmilingSite member number 24

Whoops
Sorry, you're right of course0 -
Constantine, may i ask..............have you ever done an R&R in a diff store after getting a tip in this forum???
If question is a bit much then i apologise in advance. Just curious......When things in life start to weigh heavy on your shoulders, and people all around are having a go, just smile and think.......Fxxk em!0 -

I notice youve posted quite a bit about items with expired SEL's since you got refused by Dundee CS.....but to be honest I've had loads of RandRs from expired SEL's with no bother at all.......in fact I would go as far as to say......theyve been the easiest. (at least 7 in last week)
I've never once been told that I couldnt have the refund because it was an expired offer, although all have mentioned "its out of date"....
I think you were unlucky in finding a store that said this, and then it being backed up by Dundee CS.......
Its not the customers responsibility to read the small print.
Ive told CS in the past that I havent got my reading glasses on.......although on one occassion I nearly dropped myself in it after saying this, by reading their policy from the A4 board by the till....DohhhhhhhhhhhhhCouponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

No, not from a tip off in this forum. Have been tempted to go hunting sometimes but it would not sit right with me.
I have, however, got r & r's as part of my regular shop from time to time.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
