Ive told CS in the past that I havent got my reading glasses on.......although on one occassion I nearly dropped myself in it after saying this, by reading their policy from the A4 board by the till....Dohhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yes I admit that incident has affected my confidence with expired SEL's, I also used the argument that I can't actually read the small print without glasses (which is actually true), by the way it is natrual not to be able to read the small print on Sel's but be able to read the blue board (if you're long sighted.

Well said. I wish this place was moderated in the same way as other forums, crap posts are deleted, we would still be on page 10 maybe earlier on this thread. repeat offenders are banned from posting in some sections even banned from the forum. rules are enforced no going off topic, loads of questions and decent posts just disapear in the mass of posts and never get answered or do but 2 pages later after the original poster reposts the original question.

I agree. Constant waste of time posts do nothing to expand the disscusion in the thread. Page after page of fluff with a few interesting posts mingled in gets very tedious.

I'm sure I saw somewhere that somebody had a file with all the tesco addresses to be put into a satnav system. I've spent about half an hour searchiong for it- does anyone have the link ?

I think they are called points of interest (poi) and can be used with the TomTom. If anyone does find it could the link be also put on the first page for others ?

    Thanks in advance everyone

No....it wasnt the blue board.....it was the little A4 (8x11) sign on the till.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

I have only just started reading this thread but I really enjoy it.
I especially like it when Tesco employees get involved like Constantine and Spa.

Constantine, what is your role in Tesco? Are you a manager?

  • Can one exchange an item if he receives an r&r and they remember to mark the receipt?
Basically if i bought a game that i would like to have changed if it was a game unliked by the recipient, WAAAH, then it would be allowed. Now that i received an R&R because i was overcharged am i now unable to exchange it as i already have refund tagged to my receipt....
Seems my rights are slightly affected (i don't want another refund, just an exchange for a similar item)

Any1 tried a marked receipt exchange?

Nescafe Black Ground Coffee 100g jar £1.32 (usually £2.64)

I know it's not a 100% reliable way of checking but if you look at the Tesco online grocery store:

The Strongbow Sirrus offer is going to roll on until 07/11/06.
The Carling offer is going to roll on until 07/11/06.
The Mars funsize offer will roll on until 05/11/06. (The weight is different, but I think that may be a mistake by fixtureferret)

Therefore, I would say that even if you see an expired SEL, the chances are that none of these will return an R&R.

Curiously, the Heineken - 6 x 330ml is listed at £4.24, so obviously if that is the new price, it will be less than 2 for £10, so that won't be an R&R either.

I couldn't find the Bulmers, but the Stella / Budweiser offer looks a good possibility.

Yes. Section Managers report to me, I report to the Store Manager.
