cranium, bingo and the chhick thing:j :j :p:D;)

You weren't undercharged. The prices you paid were correct - in one of my locals, there's a SEL under Cranium Family Edition "Discontinued - £6.XX was £24.XX). All that really happened to you was that no-one changed the SELs.

  • As I said, a stupid post following on from previous stupid posts.

Ah, but most stupid posts aren't made by people claiming to work high up in Tesco. That particular stupid post gave out information that most people who read this thread did not have...and it was given by a Tesco employee.

Not sure why you're defending him, Constantine, considering the way he has referred to both you and Spa as "lesser" Tesco employees with little intelligence of the working practices of the company. As I've pointed out before, neither of you have dropped a clanger by posting information on a misprice that was not previously posted on the board. The attitude displayed by Amishi on this thread towards both customers and fellow employees is disgusting. It does nothing to improve Tesco's image. It's also a direct contrast to the way you and Spa conduct yourselves here.

The leaflets should mean r&r, if they are advertising the lower price instore then this should apply - but again it will depend on individual stores as to whether they would try to wriggle out of it.

My local Tesco's in Essex were no good

no 10% offers on any phones in either of my two stores, big ones at that

found the Sony tv, at the lower price, but it wasn't on special, was just at that lower price

irobot/minority reports were stickered at the higher price, same as on the sel £22

could not find a single out of date offer either
  • All that really happened to you was that no-one changed the SELs.

And thats what happens with out of date SELS that lead to overcharges
    Titch :)

You insult the majority of people on this thread by trying to claim there is no concerted attempt in Tesco stores to avoid paying out to customers that have been illegally overcharged.

    Monster - be calm.

Whilst I don't always agree with Spa2k he has been around for a long time and has always taken the time to field questions in an honest and open manner - which I respect.

This thread would lose it's value if it lost the established Tesco employees who post here on a regular basis - such as Spa2k and Constantine (what ever happended to Tars?)

Would you rather have these established Dudes or other questionable Tesco 'employees' offering advice here? (BTW - well spotted Andrea!)

Now Spa2k doesn't need the likes of me to stick up for him - but I don't appreciate unwarranted cyber-attacks on him - I would imagine that I'm in the majority on this one (even if he does support the 'Pool!)

By all means disagree and debate - but lets not have any personal attacks - be it against Spa2k or any other honest Dude that joins this community.

    Enough said!

I think that you've missed the point - or have you?

Andrea simply pointed out that your post history is at odds with your claim to have worked on a CS desk at Tescos.

This thread has had several 'pretend' Tesco employees in the past - personally I find such characters amusing but they add no value to any debate.

Can I suggest that you put the record straight?

  • I need expert advice on this one.

One of our local Tesco's have changed all the 10% off sel's on the main display phones but have a separate stand just around the corner from it still advertising 10% off and actually has lots of boxed phones marked with the 10% reduction.

I bought 2 Tescomobile Benq Siemens EF61 MIA phones, sel and box price was £89.97 each. They scanned at £99.97 each but further down on the receipt it showed Multibuy Savings 40:20 Multi Saver -20.01 and repeated this again a couple of lines further down, hence I received multibuy savings of £40.02.

CS initially advised me that it was an offer of £20 off if you spend £40 on other shopping hence the £20 off on each phone but then said that this was how the reduction worked.

As I had in effect got each phone for £77.96, I was not sure how to argue this, so I still have the phones and am thinking of going back and speaking to the manager this afternoon. Any suggestions and does anyone know what the 40:20 thing is?

I'm off to sleep now after my night shift but hopefully someone will have an answer by this afternoon.
