Seeing all the sucess you lot were having R&Ring mobiles I went out yesterday thinking i'd prob miss the boat again even thou I was desperately in need of a new mobile. Looked at all the mobiles and no out of date SEL's but then I remembered the cardboard display near the CS desk!!
SAMSUNG E900 £169.97 Refund:j :j :j

Not sure why you're defending him, Constantine, considering the way he has referred to both you and Spa as "lesser" Tesco employees with little intelligence of the working practices of the company. As I've pointed out before, neither of you have dropped a clanger by posting information on a misprice that was not previously posted on the board. The attitude displayed by Amishi on this thread towards both customers and fellow employees is disgusting. It does nothing to improve Tesco's image. It's also a direct contrast to the way you and Spa conduct yourselves here.
Maybe the criticism was aimed at the OP..........Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

DeadHead wrote:you could argue that you expected them to scan at 89.97 each since that what's the SEL said,( total 179.94), and then the discount should have applied - £40 off to £139.92 (or 69.96 per phone)
Even though you've had a discount, it was a discount on an overcharge.
I got a full r & r
Only on going back yesterday did i notice on the leaflets stating the £20 off though in very tiny print it says discount excludes the purchase of mobile phones so in other words it has to be other shopping, and it also says only one phone per transaction, so i consider myself lucky i got a full r & r0 -

The expiry date on pos material is of no consequence to you as the consumer, if it is out of date it should be removed, if not removed it MUST be honoured or the goods removed from sale, if you have been charged a higher price than the LOWEST price displayed the store has committed an offence.
consumer direct told me when charged the highar of 2 sel because the manager offered to refund the difference after the event he was legally in the clear & they were not intreasted, don't know if this is correct or not?0 -

It obviously DOES happen at store level, maybe not in yours spa but it certainly does happen..
When I worked on the CS desk I can honestly say that I never once offered only the difference on an overcharge. More importantly, I was never told by a Manager to do this in all my time there. Certainly some Managers would groan to authorise the over £20 ones but just accepted the policy! One was totally mad one day and asked for a complete list of all the overcharges for that day so she could bring it up at the following day's meeting with the relevant Section Manager.
On the other hand I did work (briefly!!) with one female who always gave only the difference - she seemed to take it all very personally!! However, she was the type you wouldn't want to meet on a dark night  so, although I did query it with her one time, she just did what she wanted!0
