After reading the Tesco threads, and seeing what goods were commonly available for R&R, we visited a Tesco store in Southampton for our first attempt at R&R. We came away empty handed. Every out of date SEL product still scanned at the right price and every special offer was correct. We checked all of the products mentioned on the misprice thread, and loads more. We are a bit disappointed and would like to know if anyone has any advice or suggestions for successful R&R, in the Southampton area. Many thanks.0

Posted this on other thread by mistake..
Forgot to mention this yesterday, one of the stores I visited I noticed they have a conveniently placed emergancy defibrillator right next to the entrance/CS queue, I chuckled when I saw it, they must have lots of people needing it when they get overcharged!
Also, does anyone know if the stella 2 for £14 offer works? the SEL expired on the 17th?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Hi Poppy I didn't know this r & r existed until a few days ago.
Went into the above branch and right at the back on the ground floor they have all the cheap £1 items that are buy one get one free at the moment.
Bought 2 bathroom sets including a loofah, natural sponge and a cellutite buffer thing.
They went through at full price. i.e £2 for the 2
So Tesco refunded the £2 and we got the goods free.So it does happen in Southampton !
Not lots of quids I know but every little helps. They did take name and address and the lady on the till was reminded by another member of staff that it was infact an overcharge, and had to be dealt with this way, rather than just refund £1.0 -

Too late, we've been there already!
Was a go-er except the CS asked what we thought the price was before confirming the sale. Manager said we could have it at the lower price, but no R&R as the sale had not been made.0 -

Was down that way last week. No luck in the 24-hr store. Staff in the Homestore vigilant on labels, but I did see the Filofaxes in their box at £12.xx - not sure what price they were going through at. Best was Bursledon Towers Extra, had a few books (you may still find some) and some combat trousers there (though one of the CSAs was a nightmare  Really had to push it after she tried to tell me that the refund policy didn't always apply  After stating my case a few times, she went off to speak to somebody, then came back and gave me my refund without another word - sore loser). Someone also posted that they had champagne and chocs here too so these have gone. Didn't check the meat as we were away from home. I think some of the Christmas lines were still in the lower priced boxes, but didn't particularly want them so left it.
Also try Portsmouth North Harbour Extra - had a few there too!

Sorry, I don't understand you. You went to C/S before you paid for it? I thought you just took the DVD box thingy to the till, then pick up the TV from C/S?0 -
