Yes you can 'get away' with it.

I don't watch television so if I ever buy any TV equiptment and they ask for a name/address I just give a fake one. You aren't required to give ID to buy a tv - just verbal confirmation of your address.

Oh dear, I'm not very good at this... Went to my larger store to check on the TV situation. Didn't sell TVs.... the dab radio was correctly priced and I couldn't find any of the lovely choccie offers. The SEL on the champers was correct, I scanned it and got told off cos I used the wrong scanning machine!!! Found the organic eggs: very excited as there was one left at £1.89 and all the others had £2.75 on them - but when I went to check out they scanned at... you guessed it: £1.89!

Ordinarily I would be delighted to have got 50% off my mini shop due to my coupon use but instead I've come away feeling a bit of a failure

Also DP says he's never doing any drug running with me as I looked sooooo guilty the whole time I was in there :rotfl:

AND... I still, despite all the excitement, didn't go into labour!!!

No, I think that's just the price checking against rivals one, not R&R (I think georgiac had that site confirm this before parting with any money). I think Tesco has secretly buried all reference to THAT ad. Wouldn't surprise me.

Hi, don't lose heart, I am new to this but have had some success. I got the Finest Chocolate Truffles at the weekend but had to look hard. The yellow SEL with the out of date promo was still on the self but no no stock was on the shelf just a gap. Then I noticed that there were about 20 boxes of them on the shelf above with no SEL at all.

Does anyone know if this is a ploy used by staff when they know that the promo is out of date?

Still got 10 boxes for 'school Christmas pressies' though. CS was very cheery about it too.

30 min argument with Ars ist mangler with attitude, right stroppy cow she was, said that the 10% was in the phone price already.

I had receipt that I got refunded yesterday (not RR), and an agreement with manager that if the phone didn;t scan 10% higher today( deal closed) I'd get the phone for free...the ars ist gave it all the usual rubbish including."I don't agree with it", at which pint I had to put her in her place and simply state

" Are you the manager ? the manager has authorised the refund so why are you arguing with me, you cannot change company policy because you dont like it"

She gave me the phone then turned her back on me all huffy puffy style, to which I said thank you and gave my best toothy grin :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I free phone obtained.

Bit of agro but nothing new, one free phone.

EDIT If it doesn't work try googling 'Old Tesco television ads'. In the list that comes up it is the 4th item down 'Archive Detail'
