    Hi Daisy,

Personally, I use my club card and debit or credit card as and when it suits,

clearly paying cash and not using cards is best way to remain anon..but u no what, i really dont give a !!!!!! about that, if T want to take any action against me then they are more than welcome to.

There is a strong collective on this board

Sorry.....I agree with your statement in red but not with your own way of thinking..................When you get a verbal ban and they know who you are through your clubcard, and when you get the letter from HO, saying you must introduce your self to the duty manager before you enter any store.....details they have taken from club card.....it puts great restrictions on your RandRing....believe me. Although I still get good RandRs in stores only 5 miles from stores I have been banned in, and fromm stores where ive been verbally banned from the area.....I cant use anything with my name on it, I cant even phone HO with honesty, as I'm not even supposed to be in the store.

Ive just read this onthe club card site.....which although not relevant to the OP's question....talks about points removal

Tesco shall be entitled at any time to cancel points awarded if the relevant products to which such award relates are returned or cancelled for any reason and a refund of the purchase price is given or if the relevant products are exchanged for other products, unless such exchange is for products with an equivalent points value. Where the relevant products are exchanged for products of a lower points value Tesco shall be entitled to cancel the balance of points between those originally collected and those collected in respect of the replacement products

Only use a clubcard if you dont expect an RanR in your shopping.

By all means use a debit or (non Tesco) Credit Card.....DPA prevents them acquiring any data from this.....except your name....which is enough really to keep a record on you.

I had to go to a couple of bank machines this morning to get £1000 in an attempt to get my Sony.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

    Cheers guys,

Monsterdeals I blame you for this idea ! and Leadhead egged me on so here goes !

How about a T Halloween competition ? We post photo's of the ugliest( in mask of course:rotfl: ) Tesco CS staff we can find and rate them in a poll.

OK it's childish and probably offensive so will get removed anyway !
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

Do I take that to mean you didn't manage to get the Sony on R&R - I saw this posted, but having only done one R&R was not brave enough to even attempt something this big:)

You are of course right, didn't think about the side effects of being banned (although I smell one coming).

ROFL about going to find cash for Sony :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

What would happen if you used a credit/ debit card in your name ?

    Is the system flagged ?

No, the system isnt flagged......although i suspected it was when i got my letter. My wife regularly uses the Club Card and her Credit Cards....but i wouldnt dare use either to attempt RandR....Suppose i used any and the manager disputed it, so we ring HO...........Name of customer please.....I'm sure it would end there, as i'm not even supposed to be in the store.

The CS Staff and Store Management are very touchy about giving you their names. when I am asked for my name and address I ask the CS for their's, telling that I only give my details to an identified and verified source ! it is my personal policy. Seize control of the situation, normal puts the wind up'um.

Had a verbal joust with a duty manager about 2 weeks ago over a couple of Rowenta Irons, he said CS was shut so they could not deal with the overcharge, I invited him to open it. He said he could not, I said I was shocked he was not capable of doing the CS task, he got snakey. Suggested we go to an open checkout to sort it out, claimed they could not do refunds.
Asked for photocopy of the SEL, he said no photocopier in the store (big Tesco Extra), I asked him to sign my receipt and indicate the overcharge, he refused.

I asked him what he was frightened of ? , as if he had spoken truthfully what was his problem with signing my receipt. He got more snakey and said the problem was I was not listening ! I repeated back to him everying he had said word for word, asked him if I had missed anything or misquoted him !
He then signed the receipt and walked off in with a cob on.

Right little Hitler, probably gets away with acting the big man all day and bullying the staff. Told him if I had any problem getting my refund I would ask for him personally to come down to CS and sort it out.

Got my £29.96 3 days later, didn't go back the following day as suggested as I suspected an ambush.

Nice story. Not quite sure what it had to do with my post, but I'm glad you felt able to share with the group ;)

Thanks, the group therapy is really helping.

Why do CS sometimes ask you for your name and address ?

Is it to discourage 'insider fraud' ?

I worked for a large retailer once and the girls on checkout were not allowed to serve family or friends. This was before barcode scanning and itemised bills (product descriptions), just a manually entered price for each item.

Do Tesco follow up a certain number of refund transactions with the customers to double check what happened ?

Shrinkage was a major problem, lost an awful lot of spirits over a few months, the 'Backdoor Manager' was in on a fraud where he was signing in stock that never made it into the warehouse. They were using a fork lift to dump a pallet over the adjoining wall to the business next door, straight into a skip, that was then removed ASAP.

Didn't the old one in Dads' Army say this about the 'hun' and a bayonet ?
