i agree totally, i've bought quite a few cookbooks recently from tescos (and online!) and its only the last two that have been mispriced.:A Boots Tart :A0 -
Further to a recent post but more specifically: (thanks for previous reply)
My local store has a yellow SEL on McVitiesTemptations Buiscuits showing the price as 5.99 - valid to 14 November. The till price is still, apparently, 7.99
My local store has the SEL but no stock.
Neighbouring stores have plenty stock but no SEL despite it being a current offer valid to 14/11
Surely if it is a national "T" offer all stores should be displaying the yellow SEL for the next 2 weeks or so, or can individual managers choose not to have that particular offer in their store ?
Your thoughts appreciated - thanks in advance0 -

Are there more trolls about?
Some of us have only just found out about this site and are enjoying using it - doesn't make us trolls.
Think you're spending too much time being paranoid instead of getting out there finding more misprices.

Individual managers can choose not to display incorrect POS. You want the other stores to display the wrong price for another 2 weeks?Who or what was I before you came in to my life

 Looks like those security guards actually do something after all...
26.10.06
An angry mum has blasted Tesco after her six-year-old son was told to take off his hoodie which had been bought in the supermarket.
Little Liam Jones was wearing his favourite blue hooded top while he was helping his mum with the shopping when a security guard tapped him on the shoulder and told him to take it off.
Liam's mother Dawn Luxford, 31, said Tesco's security guards had gone "too far" and branded the supermarket giant as hypocrites for selling hoodies to children but banning them from wearing them.
The accountant from Great Bardfield near Braintree in Essex, said: "The top actually comes from Tesco. I bought it in the spring for about £10 and he likes wearing it because it's nice and soft and warm, it's a comfort thing for him."
"It's hypocritical."
The mother-of-two added: "We were doing the weekly shop and Liam was in the same aisle about 10 ft away."
"The security guard went up and tapped him on the shoulder and signalled for him to take his hood off. He wasn't doing anything wrong."
"The security guard didn't approach me to ask him and it was clear he was with me."
"It annoyed me because he's only a six-year-old boy, he's smaller than average, and he was doing nothing wrong. I think Tesco has gone too far."
"It's fair enough to ask teenagers to remove their hoods and scarfs if they are covering their faces but not younger children."
"Are they going to start asking really young children to start removing hoods? How far is this going to go?"
"Liam was quite shocked that a strange came up and started talking to him. He was upset and quite annoyed."
Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent sparked controversy in May last year when security staff banned hooded tops and baseball caps in a bid to stop anti-social behavior.
The supermarket giant has apologised but said security guards are asking older children to remove their hoodies to combat a spate of shoplifting.
A spokesman for the Tesco store in Braintree said Liam should not have been approached.
He said: "There is a real problem with hooded youth shoplifting in the area in general and we always ask them to remove their hoods."
"However the customer service manager has specifically briefed the security guards not to approach children under 10 and is extremely disappointed that on this occasion her guidance was not followed.
***I did have a private snigger wondering if said hoodie had been RnR'd!!0 -

But this surely is my point - it's not a misprice but a genuine offer valid for another 2 weeks - its not an incorrect POS - its not out of date but current.0 -
Had a thought while browsing today, (rare occurence O/H would say!!)
When I R&R for a definite item I use cash and my clubcard. The usual scenario is :
C/S check SEL, check item, scan item, fiddle on computer telling it why the refund, ( I asked ), sometimes write o/c against offending items on the till receipt, give me the cash and the goods, & off I go.
I have never been asked for my clubcard when doing this.
My question is, could Mr T track the transaction & me in this instance. After all 10 other people could've bought the same item around the same time, & as it was a cash transaction, it could have been anyone who claimed an R&R.

I was in a store the other day the SEL was up but shelves had been cleared,
yesterday product was on shelves but SELs removed. you just have to try different stores and hope you find one that has not discovered the error or already been R&Red0 -

Well no, if its not going through the till at the correct price it is not a genuine offer and it is not valid for an other 2 weeks. Entirely possible the offer has been pulled and some stores have been lax in removing the POS. You are asking why stores do not display incorrect POS...you seem to have things in reverse! The stores that have removed the offer have done the right thing (from a being legal and not overcharging POV, perhaps not from a filling your cupboards with free biccies POV), as the offer does not exist.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
