Re CC usage. Here's what I reckon -

If you are just buying miss prices, don't use one.

If you are doing your regular shopping anyway, use it. I believe it would actually make you look more genuine.

Unless the expected RandR combined with your shopping is less than £10.....then I would never use your club card.....

CS assistants vary in their "demands" in asking for your name and address.......after all you cant refuse to give them the card if they ask,

If you shop at the same store, then I reckon its dangerous to use your club card at all if expecting an RandR......... you only need an observant CS to notice the same address on 2 or more refund slips, and you become a suspect. I know this from experience........

Personally I would advise everyone....Dont use your clubcard if expecting an RandR.

Another point........Never give a false name after using a Credit Card.....your name is on your Credit Card, so you could well find the police being called (not your card)...........You can however give a false address, as this isnt on your card, and Tesco's have no right to demand this information from you.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

    No, they could not.
I beg to differ on this if the ITN is recorded the transaction can indeed be tracked back to the clubcard.

Surely that would depend on whether the transaction number, etc, from the receipt had been noted. Is it not possible to link up a specific transaction number to a clubcard if a clubcard has been used.

Yes it is. Clearly our staff lower down in the chain have absolutely no idea...
You're thanking the wrong person, do thank Clasics though :kisses3: after all, it was he who gave us the thumbs up to monitor those less than genuine customers who flocked to said TV and proceeded to do a LOT of checking. Thanks, we now have a lot of footage.

    Very little helps :naughty::naughty:

I actually haven't got a clubcard (specificaly never applied), my wife has and any receipts that don't resemble Lennon and McCartney original lyric sheets are taken to Tesco at a later date. Having said that, very few resemble the aforementioned so we are not exactly avid collectors of clubcard points - free products, yes.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

The transaction number on the receipt will link up to the actual transaction on the store's database. This, in turn, will show if a clubcard has been used. A good example is Tesco.com. Log into .com, click on Grocerys, then My Favourites - it will show most of your recent purchases in store.

It doesn't, MUNT, but I can see your point. If the C/S notes the transaction number, it can be checked on the computer. Perhaps not a marvellous idea for big items, or lots of items, but may be ok for the odd small things.

They looked through his purchase history and refund history to come to this conclusion.

Hmmmm....surely not a high value television perchance?

Nope...it was a £167 Philips MP3 player. Tell us more about the television, though...

It could be dependent on whether you ever use .con to order in your shopping for home delivery, I guess. Mine definitely shows a lot of the stuff I've recently bought in store, including the things I bought yesterday!

Lol....honestly, don't ridicule or kid yourself of the extent of our intelligence operations..

(On the note of inflection, this is meant as a genuine reply and not one with a nasty tone...just to clarify my point ;) )
