    Hello,
am an r&r virgin but i like to give everything ago and my local Tesco has a scanner - its not huge but it has DVDs etc.

I take it its best to pay with cash and not to use a clubcard?

Do you buy the goods then go over to CS or wait a day?

    Thanks

Yes, pay for your goods(without saying anything)

Go straight to CS and say "I think I've been overcharged"

Make sure you go with the CS to find the incorrect label.

    Hopefully they will agree
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

when I have paid, i go to CS near enough straight away or stand outside for a few mins and go back in. It is prob best to use cash but most of the time I dont, but I DO make sure that I alternate cards ,I use about 5 diff ones, will prob just rely on cash soon. Def best not to use a clubcard, I would not use mine at all when R&Ring

    Hi,
You never wait a day, not even half an hour. In that time the SEL may have been removed and you can't claim an R&R (unless you have a wrongly stickered item like a book, but even then I wouldn't wait, ever).

Most posters here would recommend cash and no clubcard but I haven't managed that yet (I sometimes use a different clubcard though).

Also I never scan anything, I feel like I am being watched if I do. Multibuy offers and clothing % reductions don't show up on the scanners anyway, only at the till. I tend to aim for things already posted on these threads, plus any other discrepancy I notice (if you go to several stores regularly you may spot that one store has a DVD at a lower price than other stores).

I know most people would be happier scanning this sort of thing to check first. I just wing it and sometimes 'change my mind' at the till!

Frisbee, I've sent you a pm

Why did you see the need to tell everyone on this thread you have sent frisbee a PM?

As for Constantine I tkae it you are admitting to being in the Northwest, maybe we have met? im trying to think of female managers in stores.

Altricham the non food manager is female
Stockport the electrical manager is female

I cant really think of any other female managers I have spoken with.
Walkden and Horwich have all been male, I try not to get to the point of speaking to managers but the 2 I mention above were really great no argueing infact Altricham asked what I would be happy with as a refund on a DS and mario so I said both and she sorted it out.

So which one are you? ;)

In your position I would request a data search and also send a letter to sir tel letting him know you have done so and it is as a direct result of their stonewalling, as I have said before data search requests are extremely expensive for any company to fulfill draw his attention to the fact that you are knowledgeable of this fact and that had your complaint been taken seriously it would not have been necessary, but, that now you feel as you obviously have to take your complaint to outside agencies to resolve you are going to need evidence of your giving them opportunity to resolve, ie details of just exactly what responses your emails and other communications did or did not provoke. You should also include video footage in your request (most likely they will say this has been recorded over in the interim but somebody will still have to expend time to establish this)

IF ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF ANY COMPANY ARE NOT WILLING TO GIVE YOUR COMPLAINT TIME THEN TAKE THAT TIME FROM THEM IN THE FORM OF A DATA SEARCH REQUEST UNDER DPA.

    SOUNDS like fun !!!!:D

Hi Ben500, this sounds like the sort of thing that would really get on store managers nerves !! :D:D;)
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D
  • Why wouldn't you use your clubcard...?
  • the clubcard holds details of everything you buy. It holds all your personal info such as your addy. It could possibly give a lot of help in tracing your buying activities and YOU
