But this is a classic example for you newbie R&Rers who want to be in the game for the long-run...

...think about what you want - go for items that you really, really want!

Has anyone ever had any luck requesting footage of CCTV to prove a price was on an item? Store are saying the price was never on the product and dont know where I have got the idea that it was from.

I was in a store recently where the Price Checker was located just around the corner from the CS desk - anyone on duty could hear the darn thing beeping away....

...I think I checked about a dozen items before making my way to a check-out via a scenic route - no problems at all!

I usually agree with everything you say dude, but I know the security staff watch people, I've had one say to me he had been watching me and knew exactly what I was up to.

I guess checking SELs thoroughly and checking the prices of stuff then putting them back looks suspicious to these "security" guards.

Where do they find their security staff from? Is it me or are they all funny looking?

I've seen spotty teenagers, lanky, greasy, beanpole types, one that looks like a cross between Santa and the dwarf from Lord of the rings and one that looks like Trevor McDonalds dad.

None of which made me feel very "secure"

I believe Constantine has said before that the chances of something like that being picked up on CCTV are remote.

Not sure exactly what they would pick up, I wonder if somebody shoved a 42" plasma up their shirt and walked off the camera would pick that up?

Anyway, some stores seem to have more CCTV cameras than others, I know one store in particular that would put the big brother house to shame with the amount of cameras in there, but obviously they wouldnt pick up a member of staff removing an SEL would they?
