There's also no way of knowing who works for Tesco.

No, but I get the feeling that there are already some established groups so they're obviously running successfully.

It would also be useful to know who r&red in your local area. The stores I visit are also visited by 9 other msers (most of who openly post on here), and I only chat outside of this site with one other to discuss what we've had at what stores so we can go to a different one.

Also makes you wonder about statistics. If there are 9 known r&rers in an area who all visit the same 5 stores per week and get a modest amount r&red on each visit, is this not above average?

Constantine and Spa - is this an above average number of r&rs claimed in a week?
  • I must say i have only had a problem r&ring in one of my local stores....excuses, wrong packs, out of date lables dont apply, why didnt u pick up one with the more expensive label?!?! lol....end result is still a full r&r, only shop in that store for r&r's to annoy the cs lady even more. Manors should me expected from both sides.
On the other hand i visit 4 other tesco stores regularly not just for r&r's but also for my weekly shop. when im overcharges...r&r's are given no fuss - hence i have lots of respect for them

and Handforth Dean made me laugh, completely wrong label on feather steak £20.99kg instead of £5 or 6 ish

On this one the label says feather steak, but scans as fillet steak. It is fillet steak in the pack as well. I didn't try for R&R on this as I'd just had it on a load of sirloin. Not sure if they will R&R on this, any advice?
  • Anyone else in stoke-on-trent RandR ing?

    Please get in touch!

I frequent Meir, Longton and Newcastle.

The wife and I thought we would go shopping today, in the next large town.
We were leaving to come home and then thought I know lets pay a visit to their tesco.

Happened to have an up to date list of bits off here so we started looking, could'nt find much, no champers, meat etc. Then we saw the lindt chocs at 299 SEL scanned at 349 ;).

Just about to pay when I saw the phones, the motorola was priced at the discounted price...... then...around the corner... was...
the Philips HDD1620 6GB MP3 player, White SEL 129.99, so I got the last case off the shelf, went to the scanner and scanned at 167.97 !

Next to that one was the 4GB one which had a white SEL 129.97. The barcodes on each SEL were different and refered to the right product.

So I paid, went to CS, just handed the case to her as she needed to get it, when she returned she circled the price and wrote " collected " on the reciept. It was then I said " I have just looked at the price you circled, and im sure the shelf label said 129.99".

So off she trotted, came back with, I assume the department manager, had SEL in hand, picked up the MP3 player box and stood behind another girl serving there. They talked very quietly and I heard him sigh and say "yes its the right product". He walked off without saying anything.

And she looked at me and said " Its your lucky day", why? I said, and she explained. The other woman then picked up on what was going on and grabbed the SEL, product and reciept and said it cant be the right one, but yes it was...... as In was leaving the store I looked at my receipt, she had'nt marked "refunded" on the receipt!!. But I cant bring myself to take it back for another refund.

My wife had no problems with 6 boxes of the lindt chocs either, good day!
  • wish i could find one of these mp3's!
  • take it back to another store
    £2051.50 since Oct 25 2006 ;) Make mine a Golden £143.46 :D

Not sure really, its one thing getting £168 worth of MP3 player for nothing, but to get my money back on it again, dont think thats me and I have been after a bigger size player for a while so think I will keep it, if not then it might appear on ebay
