Tesco misprice discussion area part 12

Don't give up on the pink and chocolate FILOFAX. I got two pink ones this morning (lovely presents). The box they were in had £12.97 printed on it, the shelf ticket said £14.97. It seems that when restocking the shelves, some staff just forget to scribble over the box price ticket, so this could go on for weeks.

CS lady told me she would refund the £2 each, although obviously somebody had put them out in the wrong box. I bit my tongue and refrained from saying "Oh, no they didn't!". We got back to the CS desk and I said I would prefer it if she refunded the full amount, to which she replied "Well alright, if that's what you want me to do". I politely said that would be very nice, thank you.

I must say, R&Ring in Tesco is wonderful for teaching restraint - I never open my mouth now for the snappy, clever answer, I'm sooooo quiet and polite! My friends don't recognise me, they think I've had a brain transplant.

Absolutely - 9 times out of 10 CS staff will treat you the way you treat them...

...except of course for the Poisoned Dwarf in Worcester...

I just lost my R & R virginity :j tried last week and failed miserably but got a tip from the thread on here for the Halloween sour cream and chive pringles 2 for £2.30 and was charged for 2 x £1.38. The guy at customer services got all hot and flusterd though and I felt sorry for him - wonder if he will get into trouble for it I wasnt horrible to him, I just pointed out that I thought that I had been overcharged and he asked me to show him so I chatted to him while we checked the label on the shelf. He was all red in the face and ended up giving me cash back instead of refunding my card. Goodness only knows what state he would have got into if it was for more than £2.76 :eek: and he didnt remove the SEL either

The above post is an excellent example of why posts other than direct misprices should be allowed in this thread.

Lanson Black Label Champagne....White sel £16.46......charged (as per most other Tescos) £20.78......case discount given on 6 bottles....full RandR of £118(x2) with no problems.................

Thanks again *flutterby*.....out of 29 stores only found it twice.....must be a really old SEL................

Both the SEL's in both the stores had been cut incorrectly, with threequarters of the depth of the words "Lanson Black Label" missing.....this possibly accounted for the SEL's still being in place (my theory)......but I don't really care if my theory is correct or not though, to be honest....

Tescos encouragement to buy 6 bottles to obtain the "case" discount, made me feel very much at ease with 6 bottles in both stores, there was no bother from CS, one even came back from the managers office with the cash in her hand, and nothing to sign either.........£236 worth of Champagne .......cheers

Glad you got these, oops a daisy, I got 12 the day I posted them here! Why not go to another Tesco and get 4 this time (not an Express store though, offer not on there).

Will be trying a different Tesco tomorrow, and maybe a swift return to one where I know they left the SEL up yesterday. I will be after the Champers/Chocs as well if I see them!

As others have posted on here, I too am looking to sort out most of my Xmas food for free, it's a great challenge for us all!
