Also, is there anywhere on here where you can see what threads you have replied to? My first post yesterday and I can't find it! (this place is huge!)
Hi Refund Queen, don't be disheartened. Just because you see these things listed doesn't mean that every store will have them. It's often an individual store that has made a mistake - not updated an SEL or forgotten to take down a barker or poster. Some others may also have the same thing, but not all. Your chances in finding it will also reduce the longer ago it is posted - you can see how often these threads are viewed - 40,822 at the moment  . Many more people look at this thread than post on it
.
Keep looking in here and make notes of the things you are interested in, the more you look out for them the easier it gets. Also read as much as you can of the discussion thread (including previous ones). They are a mine of information about what to look out for. Its always tempting to just look at what's current but until you read some of the older posts it's difficult to know exactly what to look for. I read for hours (over a couple of weeks) before I attempted my first one!:D Now I'm having to hold myself back so as not to 'raise my profile' :rotfl:

Incidentally, does anyone know for sure what the Becks Vier 330 ml cans 12 pack is scanning at? I got it on R&R last week when the SEL was £6.98 and it scanned at £7.99. Now the SEL in my local store is £7.98, so I'm wondering if this might be another opportunity.

Nothing !! Then again your stores are obviously doing THEIR job right
It may sound like some posters walk out every day with a trolley full of freebies, but remember the majority of posts are telling about things we HAVE got, and not the £120 of stuff we buy every week which isn't all R&Rd.
Like coupon acceptance. R&R goes in cycles.
After biggies like the consoles, most stores really clamped down, and it was impossible to get anything.
Some stores are ALWAYS hard to find any mis-prices. Some seem always to be more lax. In some stores it is not the finding or R&R's - but getting the dragons on cs to actually admit you have been overcharged and give you the money back.
If you have no luck with one store - try another. It is amazing what a difference a few miles can make.
Also worth remembering that you don't want to get TOO high a profile in your local store - a ban could be inconvenient and embarrasing.
During the summer I was feeling really frustrated with all the post on here, for things I could NEVER find mis-priced in MY store. I happened to go 'out of town' and visited a new Tesco - and had about £60 worth of stuff I had been searching for for weeks.....I assume they didn't have a resident MSEr or there wouldn't have been quite so much opportunity on clear display:D
In the mean time, remember to check your receipt for the things you DO buy - because knowing Tescos YOU could be posting a mis-price yourself when you find yourself overcharged without even looking for one0 -

I went into Tesco today to ask for a refund on a vodafone top up voucher I had bought from them, but could not use because I am now on contract and have done away with my pay as you go sim.
However, I was told by the customer service lady that I would have to call Vodafone about it and ask them for a refund. When I asked if it cam under the Tesco 28 day refund policy, she replied "no".
Any ideas on this matter people, I will otherwise ring Vodafone tomorrow to see what they have to say, but surely I should be eligible for a refund at Tesco ?
I took 2 Vodafones and 2 £20 vouchers back the other day....I just told the CS girl that the phones were unwanted presents, she took the vouchers and phoned Vodafone and cancelled them both within 3 minutes, explaining that they were no longer required................So it can be done, whether its the "done thing" might depend(as usual) on the mood of the CS......
I cant see any reason why it can't be done with just the voucher, its obvious that there is a standard procedure to be followed to cancel them.
Mine was compounded by the fact I had already had an RandR on both the phones and vouchers already............although CS didnt know that.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Yes, I got some last week! I saw the SEL at £7.98 this week in my local, but I'm pretty sure they had it at £7.99 last week. I think £7.98 is likely to be correct - I wouldn't go for it unless you can scan it first.0 -

I don't understand why they didn't just help me out in that case. Very annoying.
I will go to another Tesco tomorrow, as I don't think it particularly matters which Tesco I bought from orginally. Annoying particularly because I think today was the 28th day after purchase, so tomorrow I will no doubt hear that "it is too late now".
I would have forced the issue tonight and asked for a manager if I hadn't been in a rush.0 -
