i only got a very short apologetic letter.....no vouchers as a show of goodwill to tempt me back into the store..........just the wonderful knowledge of all the R&R potential keeps me going back :rotfl:

Been reading all the R + R discussions on this thread.
I had to take a Rowenta iron back a few days ago for genuine reasons and it was one I had bought and paid the correct price for of £14.98, not a £14.97 r+r situation. It was the same iron though referred to on the misprices thread.
CS at the electrical counter agreed the refund but not very smiley and demanded my receipt off me. It wasn't simply marked as a refund and returned to me, even though it had other items on it. I was told by CS that on certain items it had to be retained. Had the distinct impression that CS had been told to gather info about people returning things that had been r + r'd elsewhere. Tesco clubcard number would have been on it.
    Any ideas?:confused::confused:

As others have said, you should have been able to keep your receipt - especially as they don't give a separate debit/credit card receipt anymore. It's your proof of purchase should the next one go wrong too, as I doubt they gave you another. I would go back and ask for it.

Hope you don't have too many R&Rs on your clubcard records

Not an r&r question this time, but I am sure this board is the best place to get this question answered :

I went into Tesco today to ask for a refund on a vodafone top up voucher I had bought from them, but could not use because I am now on contract and have done away with my pay as you go sim.

However, I was told by the customer service lady that I would have to call Vodafone about it and ask them for a refund. When I asked if it cam under the Tesco 28 day refund policy, she replied "no".

Any ideas on this matter people, I will otherwise ring Vodafone tomorrow to see what they have to say, but surely I should be eligible for a refund at Tesco ?
  • Had a strange one today... bought 4 budweiser boxes of 10... all over priced but she charged me for 5..so i had the 4 refunded as op and the other one just refunded..should I have had a double refund on that one.. i did try explaining but they didnt understand me then i doubted myself... that io thought i was being cheeky then as i had already had 40 bottles of bud refunded and 24 of Smirnoff refunded!!
  • I went to 2 different stores today looking for all the things mentioned on the actual misprice thread (Fosters, Pink Filofax, Trivial Pursuit game, Ronld Dahl books, etc) and not one thing was mispriced! Boo Hoo!!

    What am I doing wrong?!

Also, is there anywhere on here where you can see what threads you have replied to? My first post yesterday and I can't find it! (this place is huge!)

Just checked on the Tesco Customer Service webpage here:

    http://www.tesco.com/customerservices/custServCustomerDesk.htm

It doesn't say that it specifically excludes top ups but I do know someone who bought a top up for the wrong network and also couldn't get a refund.:o

Sorry, can't be of more help - see what they say at Vodaphone tomorrow.

They were correct on this one. I know some people on here struggle to get their heads around it, but you were only overcharged on 4 boxes. The fact that you were charged for an extra box was a mistake and not an overcharge and that's why you only got a straight refund on it.

  • Which size buds and what price did they have on sel and scan? Please.

I have been looking for beer for ages and unable to find any (missed the becks viel as all shops near me were correct).
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p

To get the Budweiser on R&R, you need an out of date SEL for 2 for £14.00. The bottles are 330ml. The price now is £8.99 per pack.

Incidentally, does anyone know for sure what the Becks Vier 330 ml cans 12 pack is scanning at? I got it on R&R last week when the SEL was £6.98 and it scanned at £7.99. Now the SEL in my local store is £7.98, so I'm wondering if this might be another opportunity.
