I walked away from said situation, but is it were to happen again, (higher value goods) I would want to know who to ask for!
In any circumstance, the Duty Manager.
CSD staff report to the Checkout Services Section Manager, who reports to the Store Manager. Some stores will also have a Customer Services Manager, who slots in before the Store Manager.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Wish me luck
Tee pee - you won't regret it - My boys now both check sels and know where the scanners are in all the stores we go to (I think they are hoping to get ps2 games). I never do as well as some of these guys but even 4 or 5 quid back is worth having. I never go for things that I wouldn't actually want - like dog food or something but I'm quite happy to take a whirl on things that I can put away as presents for kids. I find going reasonably early in the morning is best because around me there must be some nifty MSEers who keep them on their toes.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I believe both procedures are exactly the same till-wise.......so the outcome of your points could still be the same........See post 995.Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Its a problem when its the duty manager saying they don't do refunds 'otherwise everyone would be getting their money back'

From the misprice thread:jamesiebabie wrote:Currently Hovis bread is BOGOF with price of £1.14, however, SEL in white said £1.02. Guess what, I've seen this in two stores. Price goes through at £1.14. Didn't do R&R due to lowering of the profile.
Another case of Tesco putting up their prices for a promotion? :rolleyes:0 -

Been reading all the R + R discussions on this thread.
I had to take a Rowenta iron back a few days ago for genuine reasons and it was one I had bought and paid the correct price for of £14.98, not a £14.97 r+r situation. It was the same iron though referred to on the misprices thread.
CS at the electrical counter agreed the refund but not very smiley and demanded my receipt off me. It wasn't simply marked as a refund and returned to me, even though it had other items on it. I was told by CS that on certain items it had to be retained. Had the distinct impression that CS had been told to gather info about people returning things that had been r + r'd elsewhere. Tesco clubcard number would have been on it.
Any ideas?0 -
I thought they couldn't keep your receipt. Might be wrong though0

I have not done many but my son questioned at customer services why I was complaining about it only being 5p the other day (peanuts) and I said to him "The point is if I came in 5p short of paying for something they would not let me leave the shop with it". Works the same with a penny! It is also very true!Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0
