Glad you've got it sorted. Though i don't know about you but when i've had a car that's needed it's heart replaced i never ever felt easy about driving it. Hat's off to you though if you have confidence in it
Hartwells did the right thing in the end but their customer services and the way they whent about this stinks and shouldn't og happened.
I really hope they wise up and take a beter stance if in future cases like this come up.
Oh and engines don't usually take 10 days to fit unless they have had to source you an engine.
Did you get a reiept with the new engine? How many miles has the engine done etc? Also make sure you put the new engine number on the V5 and get it sent off to the DVLA to save any hassles if it's ever checkedIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -

Hello me again Uh oh
I now have another problem....the temperature guage keeps on jumping from normal to RED staying their for afew seconds then dropping back to normal. It only did it on the motorway when travelling over 60mph its fine when doing stop start journeys. Any idea what could be causing it? At first I thought that maybe because of the extreme cold temperatures the radiator could be partially frozen (it happened on Xmas Day after a very cold night of -18) but today it has been doing the same and the temperature outside is above freezing.
I will be back on the phone tomorrow to Hartwells just wanted abit of an idea what it could be.
Many thanksSealed Pot Challenge member #982

Reject it under SOGA then. It is obviously not fit for purpose and no repair has made it right."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

Many thanks
Could just be a connector, with maybe a bit of water in it.
Does it feel hot, or smell like it's getting too warm?0 -
When ive checked the radiator I was able to get the cap off no problem at all and you could touch the pipes. I did think that maybe it had ice in the radiator coz of the extreme low temperature so put more anti freeze in it but that didnt work, so now thinking it may have a blockageSealed Pot Challenge member #982
