Is anyone still having delays getting their email with the codes?

I ordered £40 worth of clothes tokens first thing this morning and had nothing through yet - please tell me i'm not the only one!!

The toy ones I got yesterday came through in a couple of hours.

I ordered mine at 9.20 and i got them at 1.30 this after noon so almost 4 hours. It took 3 hours to get the confirmation email.

I did do a bit of complaining / asking how long they'd take etc on the facebook page though, maybe they matched my name up and rushed them out to me.

Ordered yesterday morning and STILL waiting, despite two phone calls. Each time they just said it would be within 48 hours of placing the order.

Beats me why there has to be any delay at all - surely the process could be handled completely electronically?

I've been waiting 3 days for my toy vouchers now:mad:, 8 phone calls being passed from department to department being told "there was no problem" and they were sure my codes were on their way:eek: to just being told nothing could be done tonight as the code department was now closed:(
Already 4 items oos, so pretty much what I expect from Tesco's. Don't know why I bother :rotfl:

Codes came through ok, however Tesco website is having problems and is telling people that their original voucher numbers have already been used. I rang this morning and was persuaded that I had used that number. However, when I got the same message for another voucher this evening I rang again and was told that the website is having probs cos of the Double up Your Value (or whatever its called). It is also leaving a balance to pay at the checkout even if you have paid the total value of the order with codes. I was told to put a credit card number in to pay the £4.97 that was still showing as outstanding. I asked how I could be sure that it wouldnt be charged and was told that it "probably" wouldnt be :eek:!!! But if it was to contact them again. Hmm:mad:

our tesco store (bedford) has a tesco direct department(a bit like argos)Does this mean i can exchange them in store and then goto the tesco direct counter to buy items(ie laptop)?


any help appreciated

You may already know this, im working on a few assumptions here (but it will be helpful to others0

As the vouchers are in £5 - £10 denominations unless your order was exactly £30, £70, £75, £150 etc there will be some cash to pay as you dont get change on the vouchers.

So if you had spent £29.99 you cant use £30 worth of vouchers as your 1p short however you can use £20 / £25 worth of vouchers but you will have the £4.99 / £9.99 to pay in cash.

If yo have £30 worth of doubled up vouchers and the item you want is £35 thats fine as your paying the extra by cash.

I'm still waiting for my toy vouchers which were ordered on Monday. Phoned today to say they were being 're-sent' and to wait another 48 hours. So.... not shopping just yet!

You should be able to exchange them at the Tesco Direct counter, you could the last time.
You can order the laptop from there and get it delivered either to the store or your home.:)
