Every TV in our house is a technika, the 37 inch in the living room and every 22inch TV/DVD combi in all 3 of the bedrooms.
The living room TV we have had for 3 years and not had a single problem, the bedroom Tv's 2 & half years, 2 years and 15 months,
Our living room TV is on all day and is practically never off, and the bedroom Tvs are used for a few hours a day.
So they get used, 2 of the bedroom Tv's are in our kids rooms and they poke them to hell and there still standing, no dead pixels etc.
(I dont reccomend you get your kids to test poke your TV)
ok thanks for this, which models do you have? is the sound quality ok?0 -
Ive just collected my new laptop thanks to this double up scheme - used £90 of vouchers, doubled to £180, so had a new dell for £220!0

I couldnt tell you the exact models of the top of my head, thats DF's job and hes just gone to work.
The 32 inch is HD ready and we have had no problems watching HD, the sound quality is fine, the sounds fine on all the Tv's, theyve all had, PS3's, Wii's etc played on them.
We can even use the 32 inch as a computer monitor and split screen it, so we can have the pc on one side and TV on the other.
I will also add that we have moved house 5 times in that 3 years and the 32 inch has been ferried all over the place, shoved in the back of cars and vans, and its still working.
Basically what im trying to say is, dont get scaremongered into spending more money cos 1 person has had a problem, it happens, no one and nothing is 100% perfect, theres 1000's of people with technika TV's that have had no problems with them and of course there will be a few who have had problems.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I wasn't trying to scaremonger anyone, I was just stating that I'd had 2 Technika TVs and both of them died a death with very little use within months. Obviously not everyone has a bad experience with them, or they wouldn't still be selling them, but personally I would NOT recommend them. Just my opinion.0 -
i have £14.50 in vouchers and was hoping to get a toy for £37 but will only be able to use £10 worth of vouchers as 50P short. I notice people sell their vouchers on ebay. Anyone have any experience of doing this? ie could I encounter any problems? Would they have to convert it for me? It would need to be able to be used on Tesco Direct though ... I only really needed 50p lol so doubt I would find one being sold lol but might find a £10 one I guess.0

Your entitled to your opinion and i wouldnt stop anyone having one, I was offering the other side, although my comment was based on your comment it wasnt aimed at you it was a general comment, about how some people go to buy something and 1 person will say its pants and that person then feels compelled to spend extra thinking they'll get better, which isnt necesarily always the case.
Its usually a case of you hear all of the negatives and none of the positives. I was just thorwing a positive in there.:)
I was rushing to write my reply so please dont take my comment personnaly.
I personaly couldnt justify spending extra cash on a TV purely for the fact that im buying a brand name and it ''might'' last longer. Spending more cos it has better features that you will use etc is ok though, but not just for lastability.
Pay £350 for a tv that has so far lasted over 3 years, or at the time we could have gone with a big named brand and paid £700 for a TV with no guarantees that it would have lasted any longer than the one we have now.
If this one all of a sudden goes BANG (which it inevitably will now that i have mentioned it) ive technically still got £350 to buy another one, with a better spec as technology has moved forward a few years or a few more inches, DF would really like a 42+ inch (but ive told him he has to make do with what god gave him)

It dont think it would work as the codes would be regitered against the card address. So you wouldnt be able to use someone elses e-voucher on your account.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Once you've exchanged your coupons for reward tokens - for restaurants, say - do you have to provide proof of identity when you use them? Or are they just accepted without demur?0

I have never been asked to prove who i am when we have used restaurant rewards. I doubt it makes any difference to the restaurant, payment is payment, its not like its a credit card.
I also never got asked to provide proof when i used my goldsmith vouchers, and they giy who bight my leftover ones on ebay never got asked either even though my name is clearly female and he was clearly a male.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

We have two technika tv and dvd combos, have had them for 2 years and they are great, really good picture and sound, in fact the picture is better than the top of the range Sony HD LCD TV that we bought at the same time. I guess it is luck of the draw.0
