AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! :mad::mad::mad:
Which is exactly how i feel after just getting off the phone to my bank.
Ok, rang other place about the scary letter from yesterday - yes it is something that needs to be paid back in full and hopefully i'll get the letter before the end of the week with the exact amount on and pay this off. It's actually more than i'd noted in my sig :eek::eek: and more money than i have available :eek::eek: but it'll be something thats paid off and then i don't need to worry about it any more. This so far is fine.
Rang my bank 1, to cancel the savings account - now that i'm using all available funds to pay off this bill i need that money. Plus when everything was going onto interest free that was fine to keep plugging away at the savings but now that i'm back to paying interest putting money into savings isn't making sense. Funnily enough the savings account was opened over the phone but to close it i have to go into the branch. Ok, i can do that, it'll mean taking all of my lunch break but i can manage. Then i said i hadn't had a letter about my credit card being closed. Apparently i should have asked for the account to be closed over the phone - err i did and was told it needed to be done by letter. Well the person had no idea why it had to be done by letter and nope they couldn't send me a letter out now as it was closed. Then said i should have asked for the letter confirming closure when i rang up. Err but if i was putting it in writing to close the account then surely whoever dealt with that would be the one to send the letter. No. !!!!!!. 15 minutes later i finally got the address for the complaints department. So that'll be another letter then - just to confirm they've done what i asked them to do last time by letter.
And breathe... so not the way i wanted to start my monday - still it could be worse i suppose. So banking checked and i'll be going in there later - does mean i'll be paying a chunk off my debt this month £2000ish at least just to the scary letter place - i only had it noted as £1000ish but the £2000 is right i have the paperwork.
Right tonight then i'll draft letter to bank about how they should perhaps think about having simpler processes in place rather than having me, the customer running around
Also, got to carry on with e-bay tonight :T especially now i've lost my savings cushion and am back to paying interestDiscovered OH had left a pen in his pocket that went in the washing machine - i don't generally have usable pockets so we don't think it was me - cue ink all over my work clothes - not annoyed its an accident just one of those things but if it doesn't wash out it will mean an urgent trip to the shops for something work wear-able.

Thats definitely a whole "aaaaaaaaaargh"! And the banks wonder why the so-called retail sector gets a bad press too ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Dfw
You are having a tough day. Hopefully thats all the hassle you will have for a while. Thinking about you.

Banks are so frustrating! I can totally understand bank rage. They make it all so difficult."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thanks all but still :rotfl::rotfl: i should have known the call wasn't going to go well when after introductions he asked the reason for the call so i told him and then he said anything else? so i told him the other thing then he said, Well lets deal with one thing at once shall we?:rotfl::rotfl: i mean that was my approach tell him 1 thing get it dealt with then tell him the next thing - it was the way he said it as though i was telling him everything in a babble! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
As predicted i then spent the whole of my lunch hour in the bank - nothing got sorted out - letter waiting to be written but after being at work all day i'm feeling doubly bleurgh! *sniffles* and coughs not stopped all day and achey all over - including headache & earacheyeesh!
Onto the good news
I have a job to apply for so have just been trying to brush up on my CV - i have now decided that to have this professionally done would be an investment worth spending money on as then i would only need to concentrate on the letter drafting  I have no idea how to find someone who does cv's though? The job doesn't give the salary but the hours are better than i'm doing now though i'd have to give up p/t work and the job is alot more local - i may even be able to walk there so no more 2.5hours travel for minimum wageThe job itself - which is the main thing  sounds interesting but they are looking for certain skills and i don't have all of them - or some aren't current - i know i'll be fine with the proper training
We'll see - nothing ventured and all that. I'm going to draft and e-mail the application tomorrow as my eyes are also streaming so i am finding it hard to focus on anything  This post has taken me ages to do and i want a fresh mind when i do the letter tomorrow
The not really good news but better than not is... i got an MS for a clothes shop tomorrow - there'll be no profit but it'll contribute to the new work pants
The really truly wonderful fab news is:
OH put petrol in my car for me - and quite a bit toohow silly of me getting worked up
i know i'm reacting like this because of 1, the debt  2, being under the weather
but now i'm all
So again a nudge to make sure the debt is gone as soon as possible :T good motivation though - this won't mean that when OH uses my car when i don't have debt that he won't need to put petrol in - what it does mean is how in control i will be of the way i respond and re-act to thisCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Thanks for all your lovely responses guys
Am having to drag myself out early today to do a couple of MS's hmm... am thinking of cancelling them though  I was up late and didn't sleep well with coughing and cold and then have spent a while agonising over my application letter this morning so am shattered already :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Then when i get in tonight it will take an age to write the reports up and the fee's are tiny.... Blah! I'll have to do it, even for a small amount of money its money i didn't have before
So as i've said CV and application letter done and sent and now i need to look into having a CV professionally done  Definitely a priority methinks
I also listed another item on e-bay last night so thats ticking along nicelyand have a bid on 1 item - only 99p - Crikey i've just bid on a dishwasher *eep* i've only bid £10 and ours is broken so... i'll leave it at that if we win it great if not no problem - think i just got a bit carried away oops! Still awaiting the money arriving in my bank account - only to withdraw it again to pay off the bill but still its over £400 actually paid off - the rest i'll be using my overdraft for
Righto! MS's beckonCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Yay to OH putting fuel in your car! :j
Job sounds good, fingers crossed all goes well!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks jwil
It does sound very involved and would be good for me to get into - but we'll see
Picked up a newspaper and will have a flick through that to see if anyone is advertising about cvs?
Feeling anxious about paying off this £2000 debt - i mean once its paid its paid so its all good :T but as i don't have £2000 in crediti'll be maxing my overdraft out again
:( still its better that i have this available to use than £2000 to find and only scraping together £1000... bah! rotten interest again, will be scurrying about later to try and pop some more stuff on e-bay
and be avoiding bargainous dishwashers...
Also will be doing the usual scout around for MS 's, new jobs to apply for, any surveys and free bingo, what can i say i'm just so rock and roll :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Right this money, or lack of, malarky is becoming a little confusing for me  so if i pop it down here now i'll not be going to bed with this running about my head.
So i have withdrawn £480 *sob* to pay the big bill - this is credit funds so i can add this onto the amount paid off actual debt.
The rest is *money shuffle* i.e. maxing out the overdraft *huge sob*
Then when my wages come in i'll hopefully have a little extra to throw at the debts.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
