Well there's a good reason for the path not being started - and that is that the rest of the garden was done instead :j:j:j That's as far as possible of course - got a couple of huge plants that need moving later in the year and another plant i need to cut back a bit but my secateurs broke :( But everything else is done and it all looks fab :D I am so pleased :D:D:D

Also, before doing the garden did an MS and then got a call for another urgent one to be done that night - did it and told OH must keep in budget - and yet again he went over - by £20!:mad::mad: So thats no profit for me and a big extra spend i could have well done without :( So i am going to deduct this off the money i owe him as he said at the time that he would give me the difference - yep, heard that before and never seen the money  - What does everyone think of me reducing what i owe him by £20? :o The thing is this overspend as happened so much on the nights I've managed to get a meal MS that i don't pick them up anymore :o

Anywho's after gardening showered then straight to MS then it was home, writing up the report and bed so i didn't progress further with the other things and hope to catch up this weekend ;)

Also want to do the path this weekend too - just need to get some lining so the weeds don't keep making a comeback :p

Got to check my banking - as already said i spent over £20 more on an MS  and whilst we were away spent more than i should have done - the weather wasn't great and we managed to get 1 walk in but the rest of the time was sheltering indoors and it always costs money to go in places where you end up having a coffee or a drink etc. Still think i've ended up with a cold though *sniffles*

Also came back to find that the Maxi dress i've paid for isn't being sent and that i've been refunded - this is not in my account so have sent an e-mail to chase that up and will have to send another if i don't get a response today  Gah! I hate wasting time trying to find these things out - why they took the money 3days later - which implied to me they had the item and were going to send it out and then say actually no, we don't have it  and if they could have put on the e-mail we have refunded you and this typically takes 5working days to show in your bank account then i'd at least know not to start panicing yet :o

Oh yes, whilst i was away i bought 2 gorgeous notepads :T:T:T They are lovely :D Even though my handwriting is not the best i am going to use these to jot down my aspirations, dreams and ideas and use them to help me to work towards goals :D Oh, and they were reduced so not a totally bad spend ;)

So today is 2 p/t jobs, 1 MS, checking banking, free bingo, trying to do some surveys, move some clothes, try and get lining for path  take some more things to the tip - it is all rubble so just waste stuff - start the path with a view to completing it tomorrow :D

I think deducting the money off what you owe OH is absolutely fair enough - if he's supposed to be giving it to you anyway, why not? You're taking him at his word, rather than letting his actions have no consequences to him - has to be done, long term.

Your garden work sounds great - I definitely have garden envy :) though mine is so much more manageable than at the last house, I really shouldn't complain.

Good luck with the next mystery shops - I used to do loads of banking ones, and then one terrible day I was recognised  never went back to that one, I can tell you :rotfl:

Sorry you've got a cold tho - take care of yourself.

I agree, take the £20 off the money for DH. £20 is a big overspend, it's not just a few pennies. If he wants to spend more, then it has to come out of his pocket one way or the other.

Hope the garden is looking good now, and you don't feel too rotten with the cold!

Hi all and thank you so much for your replies - i was worried i'd sound mean but although i'm not sure what Mr Dedicated's income is, i know its at least 3x or possibly 4x the income i get from full time work.

KC - do you mean recognised as a shopper or you knew the person working there? - either way *eep*

I'll also apologise if my posts are a tad rambly :o - up until last night i've not had a good nights sleep for 3 days - was properly exhausted yesterday with my skin feeling really muggy and horrible - it does when i need to rest more :o Hopefully my posts will make more sense from tomorrow :)

So again, advice needed please :o Before we went away i went to the petrol station and just about filled up on petrol :eek::eek: - well, i thought at least i don't need to go back for a month which will save me a bit of time in the week and for some reason i never enjoy going to the petrol station :( Anywho's after putting all that petrol in OH borrowed my car :mad::mad: and drove approximately 60-80miles - know for a fact he did a 60mile round trip but he also did some other 'little' journeys and i couldn't get out of him where to. Anyways i said i know there's loads of petrol in the car but please put some in as that has to last me - and has he - no :( and today my petrol light came on :eek::eek: i know i shouldn't be upset over it but i put £70 in *sob* and if you all remember a few weeks ago when I borrowed OH's car every time i got in it i had to put petrol in as i would use it and then drop it off for him and then he used it, using up remaining petrol and not putting any more in and then complained at the end of the week that i'd only put a few pound in that morning (i'd put about 15 quid in during the week).

Sorry for the rant but i am really starting to see where my money just 'disappears' to :( - So do i deduct some petrol off what I owe OH? I really don't want this to sound petty but driving at least 60miles is not cheap these days and he has a much better income than me. Also, as i've just put if i ever use his car - only when mine isn't running - then i put petrol in. Also if this was the other way round OH would properly say something about it and not be happy so why should i just keep paying out?

Oh dear! think i'm also upset and working out what i want after OH said something whilst we were away that really upset me :( Was on the first day too and i've been mulling it over ever since :(

Got p/t work done today which took longer than i had expected (bigger job) but meant I missed my MS  - i really hope they'll re-schedule this for me.

Made a decent start on path building but was already exhausted and was heavy work and i need to go back to the tip - hoping i can finish this tomorrow :T:T:T

Withdrawn £6 in survey money so once that comes through it'll be a pad. Got statement from credit card that i'd paid off in full and yes, they charged interest. Paid that now and requested to close the account. Received credit note from a complaint, an item from a survey which i can sample :T:T:T Picked up 3 MS's though 1 is quite a bit more involved - out of my comfort zone but a good stretch - not like the last one :eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh and about the cold - it definitely feels like it could be flu :( yuck! Hoping working on the garden will distract me from the symptoms ;)

KC - my garden isn't that big its just there was alot to sort out in it - all the pots wanted tidying up, weeding, path construction, seating area and of course all the rubbish that needed taking to the tip. Am most proud when i look at how spacious and pretty it is and will be once i've done :D

I'll update my pad, august plan and chicken recipe for jwil tomorrow :) Oh, also received another amazon voucher :D Deinitely tireder than a tired thing

Sorry to read that you are feeling poorly - don't overdo things and I hope you get well soon.

As for the stuff re OH, well, I do think it only fair he contributes to what he is spending from your budgets, especially as the differential in wages is so great. You may need to put your foot down on this one, and once you have done so you will need to stick to it, otherwise it will just continue.

Mind you, it sounds as though this is just one of many "things" that is contributing to your unease at the moment, so obviously there is a bigger picture that you have to be working around/to and I wish you all the positive luck for that xx

I agree with hypno, DDFW. Your OH needs to understand that he's got to pay his way - especially as he earns so much more than you. You do need to put your foot down on this and make it known that once your budget is spent there is no more cash available and he's either got to fork out or go without.

The fuel money definitely should come out of the money you owe him.

I hope you can get your head around things, and just PM if you want a chat:grouphug:

Good luck for the mystery shops though, yay to amazon vouchers and survey cash back!
