Ooh! Thanks for the advice pickle - will try and have a look after work as i've not got too much time before i dash out the door
Just had a look on the jobs site but still nothing that i want to apply for- just having a quick catch-up of diaries and hopefully will be back on here tonight
+30p to boiler fundCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
So the +30p added to my boiler fund was a load of copper in one of my bags - now i *do* count up copper at the till on occasion to pay for things but carrying it all around is just a pain when it is so heavy so this way i can see i've made a start on saving for something i need - don't actually want it but it is a bit of a necessity  So am as pleased as a pleased thing can be with the start i've made :j:j:j
Bleurgh! off to work shortly - i think i've decided to look into having my CV professionally written  or maybe i should just pull my socks up and have a good crack at it myself?Any advice appreciated
I am trying to look at the jobs site each week and really would love for something to come along which i would love to do - maybe i need to think about this differently and think about what i might enjoy and if there's a market for this?... hmm...
So, plan for today is to pop back on and post my June plan :T am really quite tired today - probably the 2 weekends away from home have caught up with me a bit? Although i'll be back at the doctors in just over a week to see how i'm getting on with my new tablets so will find out more then. Righto! Best grab ,y bag and find my keys and off to work it is. have a good Monday all xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hope you had a good weekend, DDFW.
I think we paid £2500 for a new boiler and central heating for 3 bed semi. There was no heating there before so it was starting from scratch and removing the old water tank etc. (DH and his brother paid it, hence I'm not 100% sure). I think the boiler alone is probably around £1000.
The penny jar is a great idea, I've got a huge coke bottle which I am trying to fill with small change. I haven't kept a record of how much, but it will probably be used towards the debts. I am thinking of raiding it, but trying to refrain.
If you wanted someone to look over your CV, I'd be happy to, but I'm not a pro at these things. I have seen a few in my time though - both good and bad.
The thing I would think about is whether the type of jobs you are likely to apply for would require a CV or whether they would more than likely just have an application form. If it's the former, it may be worth paying to have it done professionally, but if it's the latter, than I wouldn't think it's worth it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". So, each number represents £50 - so 20 x £50 = £1000 :j:j:j - where's the somersaulting smiley when you need it?
I tried to come up with 20 different ideas of how to make an extra £50 - as you can see i struggled :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: hence the multiples of the same thing - although i thought, well yes, i'd really like to earn £200 from p/t work this next month - remind me i said that when i'm completely shattered :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am also cheating a bit in that i think i'll start this week and not next weekMainly because i've just re-listed a few bits on e-bay and because i've just had even more p/t hours cancelled.
So people, any suggestions once again are most welcomeCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
