  • Last night i didn't sleep too well - troubled with nightmares this time though - all centred upon what upset me recently so shattered again today :o

But i am really trying to put something positive down each day - i know that may seem a bit dramatic but at the moment its just all work which is hard (not in a good challenging way) and that seems to be it ! No wonder i scurry myself off to the shops on occasion for a cheap pick me up :o

So todays positive thing is : drum roll...

I'm going back to school! Well not really :( - i'd absolutely love going to uni full time but can in no way afford to do so :( And i had mixed feelings the other day to hear that someone i know (not well - they are friend of someone else) who hasn't worked for years has got on a uni course - all paid for and will then be qualified for a fab job with huge pay. I am pleased for them that they have this opportunity but a not very nice part of me thought why can't i have my uni fees paid for me and do a career change ? :o Bit of the green eyed monster there i suppose. Still i'll let te thought of a career change work in the background of my mind at the moment.

So MY back to school is that i am going to work myself a little timetable out :T so that i have a better routine and fill my days with more than just work and here and bay of e :o AND i am going to check out the craft courses which are due to start soon i think then i can enrol for them to - although the last 2 got cancelled :(

For now though its work :( see you all later x

Your frustration is palpable but you can't do all these extra things if you are waking up everyday feeling very run down. Could you try introducing one thing at a time? If you went out running on an evening instead of first thing, could it help you sleep?

I know you are trying to be positive and I feel bad writing this post, but I just don't like to read about you putting pressure on yourself to achieve more when you are already doing so much given your state of health.

And how do you find 40 things to E bay??? I think I have done well if I find 6 things!

Hey Chocs - it is lovely to see you again - how are you ? :D

I know :o i am an extremist - all or nothing with me! i definitely agree a run after work would be a better order for me - especially as i run better after i'm awake and have been up a few hours. But i don't get in from work until 10 - 11pm each night :( so thats not really an option for me. Other than looking for a new job i have asked several times about changing my hours so i could be getting home for 6 and then doing other things such as running but i am not getting anywhere with this.

I think the exercise should have a knock on effect with my health - as you say helping me sleep as i'll be bloomin' exhausted :D and i'm hoping that the head space will be good for me, hoping to lose weight and then tone up and i'm hoping the exercising will have a knock on effect of giving me more energy - eventually :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Plus of course it'll get me out in fresh air and vitamin D of sunshine :T - so many positives with it there is no reason not to be doing it already :rotfl::rotfl: initially i'll probably be walking more than running.

It is lovely of you to say i'm doing so much already but the truth is i am not :( - my life at the moment seems to be going to a job i don't like getting through the weekend where i try and rest :o as well as getting all those jobs done that keep a house in order then back to work.

What i need to do i think is just have a week or 2 of a routine with the exercise and the studying/writing and just believe that by the end of that time the exhaustion will have dropped off :o - i can hope :o

Admittedly 40 things on bay of e is hugely tough when i have gotten rid of so much already - each time it feels like an impossible challenge but i really want the money and the space. Plus i want to keep just the things that i wear that make me feel i look my best and feel good and happy in myself - you know that feeling when you put something on that fits just right and is the right colour etc. etc. ? So this will hopefully help :) You can joing us in our little challenge if you like ? :)

Dedicated, you have been pushing yourself for so hard for so long that you have lost all perspective on what a 'normal' person would regard as a 'normal' workload. Please take care of yourself! Pretty please!

And I want to join your challenge, but there are so many things I need to change I don't know where to start! :o

DFW - please, take care of yourself, you sound like you've got a lot on and are not taking time to rest and let your body and mind have a bit of wind down time. The exercise will help I'm sure, but then it's more things that you're trying to do everyday. Just worrying about you, that's all.

I agree with the others DDFW. You are pushing yourself too hard and need to sort out your health.

When I worked lates and didn't get home til gone 11pm, I never used to get anything done either. I still don't really working 9-5 ish. I don't think most people achieve huge amounts on the days they are working.

You need to take the pressure off yourself - it sounds like you are constantly thinking 'hate my job, need a new one, must get stuff listed on ebay, must go for a run, must clean the house, must do this, that and the other...' That is exhausting in itself and cannot be sustained.

Start small - just maybe try and get one thing done before you go to work, you can always add to it once you get into a routine. Don't try and do it all at once.

I hope that doesn't offend you, but we are all worried about you :)

  • Aw thanks you guys - i guess its true i do think in terms of 'must do... ' :o main thing at the moment though is that i need to cheer myself up a bit :o still smarting from last week and am still so very angry which i know isn't good for me and i just need to let it go :o

Ok it is the weekend tomorrow so non working days (this week anyways) and... its free listing :T So i *am* going to aim for the 40 items  Partly because i have also been thinking of my debt free celebration - i have seen others talk of this and being such a girl as i am i want a complete - top to toe coat / jacket included - new outfit :o I spend so long finding the best bargain i can for something or see something i love and see the price and make do with something else instead. I want to spend a bit of guilt free money on me and when i put on my new stuff i want to feel amazing :o I am going to buy separates so it will all be stuff that can be worn with other things. I *think* i also want to spend money NOW! to cheer myself up but at least this way i can spend it and enjoy it to - rather than thinking whoops! that just put the debt free date back a bit :o

  • Hey everyone

I hope that good weekends were had by all x

Well i've completely scrapped the idea of buying a new outfit as a celebration when i become debt free. Its not really celebratory stuff is it ? And i've looked at the prices of some things and quite simply :eek::eek: So i am going to revert back to my original plan ;) which is to withdraw a sum of money which would usually be used to pay debts and use this to buy myself a piece of proper everyday jewellery - by proper i mean gold as i only have a couple of bits of things. I'll still shop around and will more than likely buy something secondhand. As its an everyday item i'm getting (something thats nice but not too fancy and with my budget it won't be dear anyway) then i'll be able to wear it just about all the time and really appreciate it and what it symbolises. With the remainder of the money i'm going to take my Mr out for a meal. It'll be at a place where there is an offer on but still it'll be nice to go out and also i guess nice to treat him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm focusing on this now as i am finding these last few steps of clearing the debt really hard going. So the celebration / treat at the end i am seeing as a bit of an incentive ;) This month has been hugely expensive for me and i'm missing seeing the debt go down :o

I've put in place my rough plan as i mentioned for paying off the outstanding balance AND i did list some new stuff at the weekend - not 40 - only got to 18 items but as i'd set the target as 40 this was a good motivator to keep me thinking about what to sell and what to part with ;) *Must stop checking to see if i have any bids though* :p

You'll all be pleased to hear that i not only didn't get as much listed because i have to find everything i listed (as opposed to having stuff in a pile/box ready to do. But also because it was such surprisingly lovely weather this weekend i got out in the garden to make the most of it and had a fairly relaxed weekend :D

  • Morning World!

I got up late and then realised i have to go out early today *Bah!* oh well it can't be helped and this sleep malarky is a funny thing. i am just glad i am not getting up at 6.30am / 7am for job 1 like i used to - that way if i'd only snatched a few hours kip in the early hours i couldn't try and make up for it with a good long rest like i did today :p

Still i have lots to do in town before work so will put my best foot forwards and am heading out armed with a list to try and make sure i do get everything done and in the easiest order ;)

I am pottering around your diaries but what with running late today haven't much chance to post - apologies folks i will catch up :)

Money news is that i'm taking a little more away on hols but will try and be frugal and not spend it :o I have 5 NPBs open now on the bay of e  and have an item i have just been contacted about to say its all plucked (which it wasn't when i posted ) So thats lost money on the item being returned :( It is really annoying - but nothing much i can do - hope the sales outbalance the bad 'uns really.

Rightio i had better get me a wriggle on if i'm gonna make this train! Hope everyone has a fabby day and that you manage to stay dry and warm xxx
