  • Morning all,

Not sure what today will bring - i seem to have been quite ill since friday :( On friday i had the complete exhaustion which is (as far as i know) a symptom of my throid - it was a whole bodily tiredness if that make any sense ? After resting as i couldn't do anything else i took myself off to bed and got up over 12 hours later  still tired. I made breakfast and then tried to get on here but gave up when i realised my vision was just not good enough to be able to see anything properly. I was a little worried as its not been that bad before but it was the start of a terrible migrane - once i knew what it was and my vision returned i was relieved but in terrible pain with the migrane which nothing seemed to alleviate. Some time later whilst this was subsiding i then had one of my dizzy spells _pale_ (probably stress induced but never got to the bottom of this really). By the time i went to bed i had managed to do nothing :( i then proceeded to spend most of the night in the bathroom with an upset stomach so today i am up both late and tired.

I am marvelling somewhat that the little things that ail me decided to pay me a visit one after the other - i've never had it like that before and feel its most curious  Lets hope getting them all at once like that will mean i'll feel better for a bit now eh?

Hope everyone else is well - i have to dash now as my Mr is waiting of me - i think he thinks i'm his apprentice :p

Hope you feel better soon, and agree a trip to the docs may be in order.

Honey, you have been working so hard you have completely exhausted yourself: that's why these things are happening one after the other - your immune system is shot to bits and just can't defend your body anymore!

Not that you are so far down your debt journey, you need to lay off for a bit, give yourself a bit more time to relax etc. and take more care of yourself.

Remember: there are no pockets in a cassock!

Take care of yourself, else I will have to come back and wag my finger very strongly (I'll splash vinegar everywhere, so you have been warned!) xxx

  • Just popping in to say thank you to all of you for your lovely kind words. I cannot afford to take any time off to go to the doctors at the mo. (not to do with finances although i'm skint but have to be very punctual at work just now) and am not really motivated to go anyway as apart from 1 fab doctor i saw a long time ago (excellent in explaining to me about my thyroid and getting me on the tablets) it seems every time i see someone it is a bit of a battle to get anywhere :(

I am still not well (hence why i've not been around) which apart from making me feel like rubbish is a bit annoying given the bay of e listings available :( If i had stuff organised to list then it would be alot easier!

jwil hon - i am going to try before the weekend to get some stuff sorted - weekend will be a write off in terms of listings as it is my weekend in work - also not good as i am under the weather and 6 full days in this week - mind you i was off last weekend and completely poorly all through it :o

The good news is i had a couple of sales of stuff that has been re-listed a few times :T and sold an item from amaz*n so a few pennies coming in which will help. Well done on your sales too jwil.

The trouble is i need to get some items listed to get some extra money in as i am being a bit of a 'head in the sand' about all my outgoings this month

I have the car tax to pay £200 ?? maybe a bit of change from this but certainly not much and nothing saved for it :o

Insurance to pay for too £150 ?? i think - need to get quotes but have, again, been too ill to do that too humph!

Holiday spending money to sort out - not sure on the amount for this :o

And a birthday to go to as well - again at least £100 for gift, meal, drinks and transport - ALOT of money but given where it'll be then i need to budget this - and i nearly forgot it - oops i wouldn't be popular :o

    Oof!

Pickle - you make me smile :) - thank you :D - i don't think i do alot now mind. previously i was working 3 jobs, completing MS's and writing up the reports that seemed to take forever, doing bay of e, surveys and OU as well as doing all house stuff - i suppose this is why i am now at the stage i am - with getting the debt down to 1 bill. I have no idea how i used to do all of those things as time just seems to disappear

I will catch up with everyones diaries as soon as i can and hope that you are all well :)

Best get off the comp now as i am still feeling quite ill, hope to be better and back soon catching up with everyones news xx

Hope you feel better soon. Don't worry about the ebay listings, you need to look after your health first!

Well done on the sales so far though!

  • Hi all,

Still not well - hey ho! But listing all the things i need to pay out for this month was :eek::eek: On top of that i've realised we're due to go out with some friends which will also cost money :( i can't really cancel it as everyone is looking forward to it and we only see them a couple of times a year - so again that will be more money to find *gulp*

I've not had the official car tax reminder so am awaiting that coming for a definite figure and when i am up to it i will start looking to see if i can get the home insurance any cheaper as well.

All these expenses made me address the frivilousness of my purchases from last week so i returned these for a refund - a good thing too as my work/everyday shoes gave up on me and needed replacing - i find this is a big problem for me with flats its not as though they can be re-heeled for a few pounds so i wear them until they are worn away  I am trying to be better now and wear walking boots to get to work before changing into work shoes to try and make them last a bit longer but this has left me without my everyday pair of slip-on flat shoes - oh well i am sure i will cope!

The money in the bank is all up and down - drips and drabs of payments for my bay of e stuff are coming in and the postage costs have yet to come out but i have decided to be sensible and rather than paying this off the debt decided to leave it and see where i am up to when all the things that need paying for have been paid :o It has not escaped my attention that by not overpaying on the mortgage this month i would free up a fair bit of cash - enough to cover my part of the insurance at least and this would certainly ease the pressure on everything too... hmm... might be the sensible thing to do this month due to the way the money is - i simply don't have enough to cover all of these outgoings this month and by paying the insurance in one go and the tax for 12 months i am freeing up more money each month (rather than it being a direct debit) and once the debt has gone this 'extra' money will go to the mortgage anyway so it is something i will catch up on... decisions, decisions, - of course i'd ideally like to sell enough stuff to not have to do this but that will mean listing things and currently all i am really doing is going to work and to bed :( I guess what i have to do is really try and get some things sorted out to list and hope that this in turn will make me feel better too :o

Again i hope everyone else is well and wil hope to catch up with you all properly soon x

  • Morning all - actually managed to get a few hours sleep last night so feel slightly more human today :) - look more human too except the huge bags under my eyes tell me alot more sleep is needed :o

Whilst i had the energy and whilst its getting pretty darned urgent i thought i'd have a look at home insurance quotes - seems i am with the cheapest provider though i'll ring them today and see if i can get it reduced a bit more too ;)

I have little bids popping on my bay of e stuff which is good - have just over 100 items on there though and the bids are on less than 10 items so we will see how that goes.

Weather here is horrid today - rainy and windy brr!

I also got round to checking how much i can realistically expect to borrow for a mortgage with my current salary - hmm - not enough anyways but at least i know how things are with that now. Kinda pushes me on to overpaying again this month rather than 'borrowing' this money to cover the shortfall on the stuff i need to pay for this month.

I was also really good the other day and went through my bank statement highlighting what i'd spent that i didn't *need* to spend too - not too bad but just trying to keep my MSE head on the ball with these things.

I did manage to get about 40 new items listed on the bay of e which was a huge task but will be worth it to get rid of stuff and also get some pennies in if things sell. Annoyingly i have over 10 items that i'm not allowed to list as i have hit the limit in those categories already - grrsomeness!

I am also still really quite ill :( gave myself 40 minutes to walk the 15 minute journey to the train station yesterday  I *will* get better - still convinced its some sorta bug thats got to work its way out of my system.

So things for me to do are: sort out insurance and pay for it *gulp*, package and post the couple of items that have been paid for and send the invoices on the rest - these are things from last week. Pick up a claim form whilst at the post office. Read through the savings leaflet as i am thinking of starting some savings again - only £10 or £15 a month but it will be good for me to start building some funds up somewhere again.

Hope everyone else is well x
