  • Great to hear from you Petrichor!!Woohoooooo:D PM whizzing its way to you.

Betty - I am now longing for you to spend xmas with just your DH and pets
Margaret - I feel much the same way about Christmas. I don't have a faith but that doesn't mean I worship rampant materialism instead. I'd love things to go back to simplicity. Fortunately, in my family it is just about getting together and being together, small presents exchanged and we share the food prep. Christmas is totally stress free for us.
This is the first year as an adult I have bought a tree (and I'm in my 40's) and we are really enjoying that - it's a small pot grown one, about 1.5ft high and 2ft wide and is the only decs we have. My OH and I truely are grateful just to have each other: we don't buy each other presents. (Which isn't meant as a criticism of anyone who does: it works for us).

Granny, thank you:D. My green smoothies have grealy simplified since that recipe I send you and now totally green leafy veg based plus a little fruit. Yes I am feeling a lot better and like today, feel so well. Slowly slowly, there are glimmers of my creative energy re-emerging. My skin is drastically better - though that is down to finally finding the right med combo and still some way to go but I am 95 % comfortable now. I am beginning to have glimpes of feeling better than I have for a very very long time. I will be keeping up the 'diet' as a lifestyle change.

Cor you lot of bah humbugs!!!!!!!!!!

I know chrismas has become really commercialised but this year im not looking forward to the day itself (minus matt and my auntie) but i have throughly enjoyed the "festive season" and that to me is the christmas i am going to enjoy this year. The day will be ok, i get one day off and it will just be the 4 of us. I can't wait for the days when i have my own family surrounded by my parents and theres 10 of us round for christmas dinner.
  • LOL, I thought you'd think that Vix - don't feel bahhumbuggish - feel peaceful and content and happily chosing the bits I do want and not feeling pressured by the bits I don't.
You enjoy it and have fun:D.

  • 1 LB Loss for me this week Fred :D
I have done it........ 7 Stone lost and before Christmas I cannot say how happy I feel right now :j:j:j

I was hopeful that despite my chocolate cake incident yesterday I might manage it but was still a little worried. I cannot believe how far I have come in less than 1yr and all to the thanks of this thread and Food Focus
Thank you all so much :T

Eric - I agree with Betty a STS is not a bad thing if you have had muscle gain. Also hope your not getting the Flu x

Margaretclare - I agree totally, if it wasn't the fact that this might be my Mum's last christmas I would have been more than happy to give it a miss too. It has lost it's sparkle since it started happening in september when the children go back to school :( Even as a child we never put the decorations up until christmas eve as my sister's birthday is 2 days b4 christmas and they were not allowed up until after her birthday and always stayed up until 12th night. Christmas was a swear word until the 24th December!

BrightonBelle - Look at you :D well done on your loss. I'm glad you are 95% back and posting alot more again x

Efrieze - yeah I have to say I don't know many skinny Jewish people. But I do know 3 Jewish Diabetics now you come to mention it. What you said makes sense to me now. :D

Well done to all the other losses this week some great one's coming in considering the cold weather. And well done to the STS people too.

Also thank you Fred you do a wonderful job and your quote's are inspiring

Thanks BB, I dont know how its happening but that's the second one this month. Its almost like its getting up and walking off in the night on its own. I'm not doing anything special, bit of wii fit twice a week, brekkie, sandwich and a reasonable dinner (of no more than 600kcals). I even occasionally have a piece of chocolate (milkyway or even half a bueno if I'm feeling really naughty). images%3Fq%3Dshrug%2Bicon%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26sa%3DX%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-GB:official%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D830%26tbs%3Disch:1,isz:i%26prmd%3Div&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=194&vpy=220&dur=1512&hovh=15&hovw=37&tx=73&ty=5&ei=qj4JTcHDFOiAhAfbt_iRDw&oei=qj4JTcHDFOiAhAfbt_iRDw&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0
Not that I'm complaining its just that if I knew why I was losing I could repeat it more often. :D
