recently i substituted my callory laden breakfast for special k and i seem stuck!!

Ditch the special K - its not the healthy brekkie - may advertise as being low fat but its loaded with sugar. You are better with bran flakes, shredded wheat, weetabix or porridge.

Eric - Only started watching the latest season of biggest loser its good viewing,

Thanks it could go some way to explain why i can manage for so long on one small bowl but i try to avoid sugars more than callories--i live abroad and the ingredients list makes no sense!--what about natural muesli with currents??

i live in turkey--got the receipe in turkish lol-i can imagine the grain as low in callories (and high in fibre!) but is the fruit additive a bad sugar add on---on the face of it they are natural sugar but something so sweet cant be good for you!!

Can i please join in? :D

I started weightwatchers on Monday, which worked quite well for me about 18months ago, as it does teach me to eat better and think more about what is in my food! Over the past year and a bit though I've put weight back on, as I've been working long hours, stressed, and eating out of boredom - must stop!

I'm hoping reporting on here will force me to stay on track a little more... :o

I did weigh myself yesterday morning, and I was 81.9kg - so 12st, 12.5lbs according to google.

I'm aiming for 75kg by xmas (11st, 11lbs) and I think longer term I want to get to 65kg, as I've been there before, and remember being really fit and full of energy :(

Think my scales are going bonkers again, or I'm gaining weight at an enormous rate  Was 2lbs heavier on Wednesday than I was on Tuesday, and 2lbs heavier today than i was on Wednesday. I know I shouldn't weigh in every day, but I suspected they have been playing up since i moved them to clean the bedroom thoroughly. Stupid me for being clean :rotfl:

your not using them on a spongy type flooring like carpet are you?

natural (un messed about with) fruit contains fructose which is a slower release sugar (low GI), but its still a simple carbohydrate so should be eaten with some control

i was reading an article yesterday that was saying the 5 fruit and veg a day should say 5 veg and fruit a day with the onus on veg, ideally 4 veg to 1 fruit

i probably eat 400g+ of steamed veg a day with almost no fruit
