Frogletina - did you see the Royal Institions Christmas Lecture last month, the one about what happens when you eat chocolate, it was quite interesting? Its probably available soemwhere on youtube, If i get time later will have a look.

    Hi Puds

No - I didn't see it and I can't find any clips on it either. However, what I know about chocolate is that if I don't eat it for about 3 weeks the craving stops, if I can last that long.

mmmm i've made friends with fat people, just because they were fatter at me and it didnt work out. I feel bad for it now, but i was only 16 with confidence the size of a grain of salt. Plus, thin friends give me inspiration!!

Lolly: Youre post made me laugh!!! So busy shopping you forget to eat and pretty much do anything!! ha, i love it. You have also made me miss shopping, i havent been in awhile and as much as i want to, my head tells me noooooooooo.

Am thinking about a 20min jog during my lunch break before I eat around Highbury Fields. Must get one of those scarfs to put around my mouth and nose though, my lungs hurt terribly in the cold!

    Well done safesound! fab result:D

    Afternoon all,

Betty, sorry I was AWOL. Between trying to fix OH's laptop which had another blimming virus on it (in a week), and trying to keep up with the SW thread, which seems to have about 10 pages added per day, I've been neglecting you all here :(

I know what you mean, that thread moves far too quickly for me most of the time!!

Honestly, SW is a plan for people who love to eat food, not to deprive themselves of it.
    Here here!! :j

well done on your loss and your 1 stone total loss sary :T:T
SW seems to be really suiting you - you are very inspiring for me - whenever i feel like giving up I think of you and your success so far...

Wahoo! ive got mail! thanks Eric - ive installed it and had a quick glance and it looks really good. It appears very scientific, with plenty of graphs and charts etc, I prefer seeing things laid out like that. Will look properly later on. Thanks again.

what's best? under 60g of carbs or under 60g of protein and healthy fats?

I dont envy you or anybody that has an angiogram done, or any intrusive test or operation for that matter!
As for losing your apron, am i right in thinking that working the muscles in the abdomen, such as situps, will tone the abdomen muscles but wont necessarily use the fat supply that is local to the abdomen?

    my pleasure mate

under 60, hmm dont know ill have to look at my post

situps are pretty pointless, vastly better ways to tone the core, lifting heavy does it as a by product but what ever you do you can not target fat removal and when like me you have stretched the skin so much it wont shrink back so surgery is the only option

i get a crease in my back when i lie down sometimes and its bloody uncomfortable .... gawd knows what it would be like if i wasnt such a beast :rotfl:
  • 1lb drop this week.

Expected really. We have invested in some scales that we can actually see a reading on!

Friday had car disaster day so after dropping it off at the garage I blew Friday no drink day by going to the pub to ease the pain!

Sunday we went on a post Xmas meal out with friends so that ended up being an over indulgent day topped off with a pizza!

Back in the gym this week so at least what was looking like a gain has ended with a loss.

Hopefully next week will see me drop below 13st.

    Onwards and Upwards.

    well done losers!

I am having a STS commiseration day - lunch with mother (bloomer roll, lots of mayo and a cake for afters) and for dinner burger and chips (homemade) with a couple of beers.

100% for the rest of the week tho!
