With just the two of us on board we'd never win the monthly challenge
No thats wrong - the winner is the team thats lost the biggest %age of their starting weight. So a team with a lot of people in it would need to lose far more lbs than a small team.

and that reminds me... Eric did you say biggest loser was starting again in a few days, ive been looking for it on the sky planner but cant see it ? Any idea what channel or day its being shown? I seem to get far more motivation from watching BL than any of the other weight loss shows (and as usual the tv is littered with them at this time of year!)

Anybody who's never watched the USA biggest loser should stick it on record then play it when the willpower's dwindling. It's makes inspirational tv!

I'm back bigger and better than before (well certainly bigger) Think I will probs have to change my sig to 3 stones again, although I've not stepped on the scales as yet.

Have really enjoyed Xmas and New Year although DD done her best to ruin it and I was in bed before the bells.

And with my OT money I bought myself a new black leather bed. Been wanting one for ages, but all the ones I seen were dark brown, and looked almost black in the shops, but this one is black black and rather nice!!!

So Happy New Year to you all, here's hoping it can inspire us all to get our fingers out and get motivated ;)

Ok so i weighed myself again. Im still 10 stone 3lbs!!!!! That means i've lost 6lbs over the christmas/december period! I don't really believe it, but i kinda do because i have been eating less and moving more. I really can't believe it. I dunno how to log this on the board fred, i dont wanna start my weight as 10 stone 3 and ignore the 6lb loss but then i dont wanna add it in to a week when it wasnt! Toughy!! Im so inspired now, i didnt have crisps with a sandwhich earlier and i ALWAYS have crisps with a sandwhich!!!! Excitemento to the extreme!!! woopy wooo woos!!!!!!

erm didnt understand hardly a word of that Vix! Are you still drunk?

but well done on managing to lose a whopping 6lbs over christmas.:D

Mazza i've heard a rumour that you bought a new bed cos your old one was shaken to death? ;)

Polly big hi to you - are you going to sign up for the 5lb challenge?

    ---
Ive just come back from a pub similar to a wetherspoons, went for lunch and like Vix said yesterday the healthier choices there leave a lot to be desired!
A chicken wrap seemed the best option but I didnt want the chips and without the chips it seemed very little.... so i ended up having two chicken wraps and no chips on either.
Today was also the first time ive ever left there without having had a pudding too... so time to get the halo out i think, will need to give it a polish though cos its hasnt been worn for so long!

  • welcome to our lovely forum polly:j

Hey puddings - no puddings, what a result:A

Mazza - thought of you on Friday: I had to wait half an hr in the post office to collect a recorded del letter, so of course by the time I got to the counter I was offensively rude and aggressive - but I did it for you mazza, so you don't feel it's just you that gets the horrible customers:D

Have spent the day scrubbing and cleaning. Had to get dressed up in my anti nuclear gear to scrub the mould of the bathroom ceiling with bleach. Lovely job. Bathroom is now spotlessly clean, ditto kitchen. Can you tell lodger is coming back today:rotfl:

The really exciting news is that we have been given a dish washer. Never had one before, but goes in the space that the tumble drier used to. I haven't worked out how to plumb it in yet.

Betty yes you can just go to one meeting at sw and never return - there is no catch. You do have to attend all the 1st meeting though. But if you kept going to the meetings for say, the first 2 months, it would cost less than the take aways it would help you to avoid having...:D

Victory - good luck if you decide to switch to sw. You will find it hard to get your head round some of it compared to ww rules. You just have to trust the sw system and go with it. What i am not sure of is how much you can expect to lose if you are aready within the healthy bmi range. I mean if you are a stone over a healthy bmi, you will lose, but if your bmi is say 23, it will be tougher to lose imo.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Hey peeps, I'm feeling kinda sheepish here because I've only gone and gained 9lbs since I last weighed :(
I'm back on track this week though (starting today) so no more choccies for me and now DH is back at work I can get back into the habit of exercising and not lounging around watching telly all afternoon.
Vix, thats amazing and over christmas as well, WELL DONE!
Fred, please can you add me to the 5lb challenge for January. Thanks.
Welcome to all the newbies, it honestly isnt as hard as it looks and the longer you stick to it the better you feel!

Here's to a more positive 2011 and taking every day one meal at a time.
