  • Morning Nomoney

I am so sorry to hear about your job. Maybe all will work out. Don't give up, hope and pray for the best.

Try and enjoy time with your wife and kids this weekend. Worrying will not change anything.

Do you know when a decision will be made?

    Thinking about you.

    God bless

Morning all and thanks for the kind words.

As for decision day, I am under the impression that I will find out my fate in the meeting, so, with the meeting at 2pm I expect to know the outcome not too long afterwards.

We did have a fantastic weekend, we banned the discussion of work and went out an enjoyed the October Heatwave. We decided to do a bootfair at the last minute Saturday and made, after deductions for entry and food £50 which wasn't too bad, as we just sold all the kids old clothes in a 3 for a £1 deal.

My wife was on nights Saturday so it was a quiet night in for me watching the box before 2 games of officiating on Sunday to bring in the pennies, which will cover the cost of the MOT for the car today.

It's difficult to get motivated this morning, don't think I will be in a position to relax until late afternoon.....hopefully.

Well, despite being in and out of the meeting 3 times this afternoon no decision has been made. They have assured me that a decision will be made by Wednesday, which is my day off.

They said that they would let me know on Thursday but have told them that if they make a decision on Wednesday to let me know and I will see if I can come in as want to know sooner than later in case I need to make alternative plans given I have a wife, 2 young kids and a mortgage that I will need to look at covering.

    Hi Nomoney

The waiting is the most difficult isn't it. You were right to insist on being told on the day. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well done on the great weekend. Your weather was superb...we got the usual rain but quite warm saying that. Yesterday afternoon was stunning here and maybe we might get another one today. Well done on the £50 :)

    All the best

Thanks ebayqueen - weather here today has been poor, not cold as such, but horrible overcast which suggests the good weather has now officially ended and bad weather, as forecast will be here come the weekend.

Work was surprisingly good given what is going on, although small little things have been happening that make me think I won't be here much longer, but knowing my paranoid state its probably in my head - EG: A lack of work coming through to me, daily Department Stats not being released to me etc....Probably just me being over paranoid but hey.

    Hi Nomoney

I agree with you the summer is officially over :) Talk of snow next:)

Glad to hear that work wasn't too bad for you today and you are probably thinking too much about things. Its only natural to do so. At least you only have a matter of days until the waiting is over. Keep going and take care.

The waiting must be awful No Money, well done for sticking to your guns and insisting on being told sooner rather than later.

Glad you did well at the boot sale, and it's definitely got a lot chillier here tonight!

Bad weather has officially arrived, blowing a gale this morning!

My meeting will restart at 4pm this afternoon! Not exactly an early start but apparently the reason is because he has meetings with the big bosses all morning preventing it being any earlier.

Personally, I think its an excuse to get another full day of work out of me before telling me to do one! What I don't think he realises is, that the longer I am left to wait the less productive I am because of the constant fear of if I am released, how am I going to pay the mortgage and support the wife and kids!
