A glorious weekend thanks to some lovely weather. Although we didn't really do alot.

We have a no addition to the family, an 8-week old kitten so the weekend spent time getting to know her and vice versa (although I spent a fair bit of time getting to know the underside of my kitchen units as she has hidden herself under there a fair bit.

Apart from getting food for her (the rest of the stuff was provided) it has been a relatively good NSW for me. My wife spent the majority of our outlay this weekend with the food shop.

Another day and more beautiful sunshine, that means two things - it's going to rain on my day off tomorrow and my hay fever has made an appearance.

Kitten seems to have taken nicely to family life, and bonded really well with my eldest, she was teaching her tricks yesterday - spent the evening chasing her tail around in the living room leaving me in histerics, she doesn't seem to like her tail too much and hasn't grasped it is actually attached.

Looking forward to spending some proper time with her tomorrow as I was at work all day yesterday and both myself and my wife are out all day today, so, with the exception of my in law visiting to feed her at lunch she won't have any interaction until I get home tonight.

Awww, yay to kittens! My cat is over 5 years old and still chases her tail, so it's probably not going to stop any time soon.

I can sympathise with the hayfever, mine has been terrible the last couple of days with all the mugginess.

Well done on the half price present too!

Ah nomoney...I love kittens. They are such great entertainment. We have 3 cats and the youngest one coming 3 now we call her Kitten:p Well she is the baby. She has only one eye as she was rescued by my mam and shipped to us in the country.

I have some great memories of all my kids playing with the kittens that are now full grown. Our oldest cat is 15 years old and she is in most of our family pictures in the garden. We will be sad the day she dies.

Kids and kittens are a great mix. I think you are enjoying the kitten as much as the kids. Hope the weather doesn't be too bad this weekend. Do you have any football ref planned this Sunday?

Morning all and thanks for the comments ebayqueen and jwil.

A crazy weekend at No Money Towers. I have had a horrible chest infection now for the best part of a week and my voice has been coming and going, however, showing the fighting spirit I have soldiered on.

Saturday was our eldests 5th birthday and we had a party for her at the local church hall. Was crazy, but very enjoyable - although no voice and 15 screaming kids doesn't bode well for daddy - thankfully the hired bouncey castle limited any need for asserting authority.

Sunday I was back refereeing, yes, take note you pro-footballers, even with a chest infection I went out and ran around for 90-mintues earning some pennies in the process.

As for kittens - she is adorable and growing up fast - a little cheeky though, but wouldn't change her. The kids love her to bits and our youngest has taken to her really well often chasing her around.

Had a fun moment yesterday, my eldest got a childs scalextric from my brother for her birthday, so they were playing that and the kitten was chasing the cars around the track - girls were in histerics.

You have had a busy weekend. All those kids...I'm too old for all that now!!!!!!!

Well done on turning up for your match and you sick. I do agree with you about prof footballers they behave like 'softies' (beano talk:))sometimes. The amount of money they get paid and they still do not try their best. Scandalous really!

What a great little kitten, so full of energy. Its amazing how exited they get.

Hope you are having a good week and keeping within your budgets. We are now into another month and soon summer will be autumn. Where is time going.

    How are your balances now?

Illness is proper setting in now, diagnosed with a chest infection, so sitting at work feeling sorry for myself - everyone telling me to go home and sleep, but there is little point - might as well keep busy.

Another game this weekend, hoping to feel a bit better by then with these lovely tastic drugs i've been given. If not, might seriously consider pulling out.

Balances are not much different to the last update, although my wife has managed to clear off almost £400 from hers in the last 2-months so that is looking pretty good. I am hoping to see a major decrease now the football season has restarted.

  • Hope you feel better soon, try and take it easy and get some rest, even if that means missing the match at the weekend, your health is more important.

EVening No Money. Sorry to hear you have a chest infection. Be very careful and rest when you get the chance. I know you love that extra few quid at the weekend but you don't want to get worse.

    Take care of yourself
