I love watching that too Cinny although I am making mine more of a get together and have put on the invites I don't expect presents as find it a bit weird asking for presents! I only wanted to do it to see all my friends!
We are still waiting to hear about the car. OH is going to call tomorrow.
Not much other news today. Work was OK, only four more Mondays as have one Monday off before I leave. We are getting a new girl at work in a couple of weeks that i am going to help train so that will make the time go quicker.0 -
Sorry haven't written in a few days.
Another week of work done, 5 more to go so not long now. Is going quite quick really.
Car is still in garage , they should be looking at it again and not charging us to look but haven't heard anything back yet.
My Moses basket and cot both arrived this week. Moses basket is lovely, looks really comfy so hope baby likes sleeping in it. We haven't looked at the cot yet , is still in box. I can't decide when to put it up, will need to rearrange furniture in our room. Haven't got too much left to get now, need to get bedding and some more toiletries and a few other bits and pieces.
Payday today yay! Have transfered some money over to maternity fund so atually have one now although sightly worried that it will be eaten up by car costs again... will have to see.0 -

Well i have had a successful day so far really. OH phoned garage up and they have dried engine out and are going to leave it over weekend then give it a proper test Monday. Hopefully they won't be charging us for any of that.
I went to Sainsburys this morning and I got some soup for our lunch, have made some bread in breadmaker so should be nice. I also got a print cartridge so was able to print out all my baby shower invites and they are all in envelopes ready to go. Also got OH's sister a birthday card and a pressie and card for my friends little boy who will be one on Friday. I got him a little book and a helicopter toy on wheels thing.
I also got some more wipes as they were on offer 3 for 1. The clothes are all on 25% off so got some more muslin squares and also some sleepsuits. Also got a half price towel to take to hospital.
Maria - how lucky for your friend! Scary though that I could have a baby in 3 and a half weeks!0 -
Have cleaned the bathroom so all jobs for the day done yay.
OH has gone to work, he finishes at 3am so will see him sometime in the middle of the night but he is off tomorrow.
Going to spend the rest of the afternoon/evening chilling out.0 -
Well done on getting all your jobs done yesterday, and sounds like you got some good deals at Sainburys. You post actually reminded me I need to get my OH a Birthday card for Saturday
How could I forget a card?!
Keeping my fingers crossed for your cars little test on Monday! x0 -
Sometimes I think we get so distracted by the presents we forget the cards. When I start maternity leave I am planning on buying all birthday cards i need for april /may as i am sure my mind will be like a sieve!
Not much planned for today again, bit bored really! I have put the sheets in the wash and need to take recylcing out at some point but need OH's help as some is quite heavy and we have to carry it all round to the side of the blocks of flats.0 -
Well another couple of days at work, only 22 working days left now...
I managed to redeem on a survey site for £5 amazon and also my boss gave me his £15 amazon voucher we get for our birthdays bless him so I ordered the micheal jackson experience game for wii as have wanted for a while. Also had some more vouchers in account so have ordered steriliser so another thing off list.
I went to boots yesterday and got a few bits and used some extra points vouchers so now have nearly £15 of points on card which i am sure will come in useful.0 -
Morning,
Always up early these days! Good pratcice I guess.
Doing well with the amazon vouchers as i got accepted for the shopandscan thing and did my first lot last night which gets you a ten pound voucher and recieved it this morning. Have used it to get a bath and room thermometer. Is good being able to get all the stuff for baby without spending too much.
Yesterday at work I was organising some lunches where contractors we work with have said they will take me and the team out before I leave which is lovely. Gives me something to look forward to anyway!0
