Likely limit for first credit card?

Ive just been accepted for a barclaycard platinum and im wondering what kind of limit I can expect. Im only working part time at the moment so only earn about £4000 a year, this is my first credit card.

Any rough estimates will be appreciated :)

How did you manage to get a Barclaycard Platinum when their minimum requirement is to earn at least £ 20,000 per year.
Have you been honest on your application? if Barclaycard found that about your income they'll have no hesitation to close the account.

My ex-gf was recently offered a Barclaycard Platinum "guaranteed pre-approved" on the basis of her current account with Barclays. Just "sign here" blah blah blah. She earns almost nothing at the moment.

Don't know if she would have got it - she didn't bother with it.

A "guaranteed pre-approved" does not mean anything, they would have still done a search.....
