    :huh::huh:

I didnt lie on my application, I answered everything 100% honestly, After I filled in the form it said I'd been accepted and would recieve the card within 5 days.

Is it possible theyve made a mistake? Im sure I didnt, I checked everything before i submitted it.

Don't think sarcasm come's into it,think people are a bit dubious as you say you have been accepted for a barclaycard plat which requires a good credit history and £20k salary, which as you have told us you don't tick either of those box's.

Well as I said, I did answer everything honestly, maybe its not the BC platinum they offered me. I'll soon find out...

A "guaranteed pre-approved" does not mean anything, they would have still done a search.....

The search wouldn't have shown her income - only that she's run a number of cards without a problem over the course of 20 years. They didn't ask for her income on the form - it was a short sign and return thing.

    hi clarej7

in answer to your original question, without being sarcastic, the best thing to do is call them and ask, it can't hurt

welcome to the forums...it's often a minefield of unhelpful bulls*it to even get to the good advice

    hang in there

Without wishing to wander too far from the point........

a lot of the "bulls*it" you refer to comes from very new posters on the site. It does surprise me, more than a little, that these people seem to be capable of signing up to this site but are incapable of doing a search on Google or MSE - which in the vast majority of cases will produce the answer that is required.
I could give you a long list of subjects that crop up on an almost daily basis ...................

When you have been a regular contributor to this site for some time it does become very difficult at times NOT to tell some of the new posters "not to be so stupid/helpless" with their posts.

I admit myself to being a bit short at times - but it becomes very difficult when the same question is asked time after time, you then post a link to another site with the answer (because you have got sick and tired of repeatedly typing the same answer out), THEN the OP in that thread comes back with a supplementary question which makes it blatantly obvious that they have not even bothered to look at the link which you posted to help them.

It's certainly not a case of people with lots of posts thinking they "own" the site - perhaps it is just good, old fashioned, experience !!

it's not the question she asked was it

you all questioned why she got a card in the first place, but she didnt ask about how she qualified

just answer the question, dont accuse someone of lying on their application with so little information

and cheers for the insult, i havent heard that one for ages
    :)
