Well as I said, i didnt know that particular card was anything special, to me a credit card is a credit card, its a piece of plastic! If its a fancy one of not I dont care.

The reason I included my salary is because I thought that would have some impact on the credit limit.

I accept that I wont be getting that card, looking again at the website its probably the initial card they accepted me for.

Well to be honest surely you knew what card you applied for,and if it was the initial card you applied for, then most of this thread was a waste of time then.

Nope, not 100% sure what I applied for. Well I did think it was the platinum one, but after the reaction on here it cant be.

it doesnt matter which card you applied for, with some providers they will consider you for their other products if you dont qualify for the first choice

I am not sure if things have changed much with regards to the yearly income required, but when I got accepted for my Barclay Card Platinum a few years back (my first credit card) I wasn't even working! I was still in education at a training center (aged 19) and on £40 a week... so why was I accepted, because I certainly didn't lie! Maybe it was because I was a customer with Barclays.

Either way, I am not complaining as I've always paid on time and not had any problems with Barclaycard.
