I'm snowed under with marking too. Hope you feel better soon.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

And why does marking always come at once, no matter how organised you are about setting the work....?Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Hope tomorrow goes as well as it can, and their are no arguments with SIL. Will be thinking of you xx0

Jellie hope you got it done...
squirrel brought this on myself I'm afraid, it is for the exam board for extra cash...
Michelle thanks, I never argue with her, just seethe silently. She was soo hyper on Thurs that we couldn't meet the first demand before she rapped out another. I was as tolerant as I could be and in the end we couldn't meet most of her demands in time for her to change them...and so we ended up doing what was best for us anyway. Yesterday she tried her hardest to rearrange the week-long-planned arrangements and DH held firm.
So in the end it was ok, and I am not doing it anymore...famous last words. The day went ok but left me with two questions
Why do undertakers look like bouncers?
How do undertakers get a date? Or do they wait until they are coupled up before becoming one??
We are £265 the poorer, though that does include flowers and wine for my M and D for having the DDs, and a baptism gift for the son of a friend who I am still not sure if either of us is being Godparent to - and it's in a fortnight!
We have also come home with a big wooden blanket box that DH has dropped into the local antique man to strip for us, and some lovely crystal things that otherwise would have gone to house clearance, and some glass candlesticks that we are going to put on the mantelpiece and light a candle for MIL for every time we use them. Not Roman Catholic, but I love that tradition.
DH is doing ok, says it wasn't as bad as he thought, and he has had me looking up the value of her flat on tinternet, he is responsible for probate.
Soo sooo pleased to have all the family back at home. Two weeks until P day, puppytastic!
And tonight, me exam marking crashes into DH's so we will be beavering away for all we are worth when the smalls are in bed. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
You survived then. Just by the sounds of it. It will all be easier now. It has to be doesn't it.
Well, don't spend all weekend the two of you marking hon. Try and enjoy some of being all together.
2 weeks to puppy. :j(Thought you meant payday at first.)

I will be nearly as excited about payday!!! Thanks, Michelle. Yes I think it will be better, though there will be flat-selling dramas no doubt.
We are having a nice day, DH dropped the blanket box off and got a grauniad. DDs are playing puissance (sp?) in the sitting room with a rope, having devoured bacon butties and boiled eggs. I've got a load of washing on, and it's blowing a gale here, a good day for staying in.
DD2 is still wearing her PJs.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
We are all still in Pjs here but about to remedy that.0

Exam marking - ouch .... I did it for a few years and found I was actually falling asleep while marking, it was so boring..... But lucrative. Especially when you get a naughty kid who has not written anything...

In a sick way it does quite cheer one up when they haven't written anything, though did you ever get any cries for help written on the papers?
It isn't uncommon to get pleas for help, we have to take them really seriously, could be forced marriage or anything. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
So sorry to hear about your MIL, must be tough for all of you.
Reading your thread spurred me to finally read my WM manual and I now know how to do a quick wash! Feel like I have really achieved something - ha,ha! My boyf thinks I am strange though, can't understand why it matters!
