  • Thanks, babyb I haven't done it yet, I have no clue where the manual is and we have moved house since I got it! Well done you, though, how long is yours?!

Online shop done, though, and one load of washing, another one in. DH and I have been doing some planning, and we think we may be going for a re-doing the bathroom plan.

Question: is 5k realistic for a new suite, incl small corner bath, quadrant shower, electrics, tiling to picture rail height and a blind??

I would say yes budget wise depending on tiles you chose and how much you need. We were under 2k for new suite, 800mm shower bath, electrics, shower, screen, new ceiling, radiator and floor to ceiling tiles. we shamlessly abused my dad being over 60 for 10% discounts at B&Q etc. We aere a replace coloured suite for sale though so it was a low price/looks nice type job rather than something to live with for 15 years

  • Thanks LP. We already have a heated towel rail in that's quite new, so won't replace that. Dad has one of those cards too, good thought.

Good luck with the baby's arrival.

  • Mine was £7.5k including the boiler, and it is fully tiled, and you saw how much work we had done. I think £5k would go a long way unless you have mega expensive tastes.

Find a good local tradesman and you should be laughing.

After baby? I really hope so hun. You have a lot going off still.
  • Thanks, Michelle. We already have the boiler so that should be ok I think? Have a recommendation from our electrician who we are pleased with. And def not til after the baby, we were thinking in the summer.

Madly marking now, trying to catch up the last two days. Just want it done so I can get paid now!

  • Marking like a demon, up to 80 odd percent. Need to sleep for an hour and then going to try to press on until it is all done.
