My quickwash is either 30 degrees at 800rpm spin for 30 minutes, or i can do a 60 degree one for an hour, which is 1400rpm spin. I tend to choose the 2nd one and then drop the temp to 30 or 40, which makes it 35-40 mins for the wash cycle, but then it adds on a 15 minute spin. Not that quick at all really, but then again it has a bigger drum than my last washer so no wonder it takes a little bit longer.0

I am on 70 min and counting, I really should have read the instructions 7 years ago!!! Just got DD1 detailed to do thankyou letters, and am gradually making some kind of difference to the chaos.
Paracetamol has not helped back at all.
Did manage to order DD1 a couple of books with a smiths card she got for her birthday. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
When it looks like i have done nothing i remind myself how hard it is to maintain the level of chaos and imagine if i had done nothing.
Mine is looking a bit better, but DS2 is on one this morning dragging stuff out. I win the battle more when DS1 is in as he at least knows how to help tidy. I can't wait till the littlie gets the idea too.0 -
I have booked DD1 a sight test, so that's something. Now I have to think about who will have the puppy when we do anything!
Going to see if the blessed wm has finally finished. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Third load of washing is on, the quick wash seemed to take 90 min...that's not so quick then. Some bits done, and the troops are going for a sleep in a minute.
DH rang earlier and he sounds dreadful. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Well that was a result, we all got an hour and a half ish on the snoozing front. We must all be ill/tired.
I have tried on my outfit for Thursday and its ok, the only thing is my swollen legs won't go in my black leather boots, probably just as well as maybe a bit tarty - but warm! At least I won't let the sartorial side down, despite being 8 months preg.
Really want to get the funeral over with now, so we can be free to be excited and pleased about baby and puppy. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hope you and DD's feel slightly better after your nap. Thinking of your DH too,must be an incredibly difficult time.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

LOL at your quick wash :rotfl: Mine is exactly the same...why don't they just call it 'same as normal time wash'..so annoying!
Crikey you really do have your hands full at the moment. Man land must be a wonderful place to live I think....the place is never untidy and fairies replace dirty clothes for clean ones"A smile takes but a moment...

Thanks cath I certainly feel a lot more normal. Hope the MS isn't too bad for you.
mummalove we had these grand plans little realising there would be a bereavement so soon, but the baby can't go back (not that we would want it to!) and DH insisted we carry on with the puppy plans. He was right as it happened...it gives us something lovely to look forward to. And man land...what a cool place to live!
He has told me, though, that there will maybe be some money to come to us later. This will mean that various everyday worries, like "is the house falling down?" and "will the roof leak again?" are lessened.
For now, though, two more days at work for me this week and one more for him as he goes to London on Weds for an exam meeting - leave at 6, back at 7...hope he sleeps on the train! We do expect to make about £1400 net from our combined marking efforts, so it will all be worth it.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
I must confess I haven't read all of yr diary yet...but I just wondered if puppy is coming before or after baby? Definitely going to be hard work, but oh so rewarding and I think all children should grow up with a pet (if possible)
I love my cat, she is part of my family and a complete joy. Oh and my husband and son are alright too I guess :rotfl:
Both your and DH's marking is a complete bonus and will be so worth all that extra work you have put in. WELL DONE :T"A smile takes but a moment...
